After a long period of researching all of the various options in order to replace an 15 year old Sony TV, I bought this TV on Amazon Prime Day and it has surpassed all expectations since it arrived a week ago. The picture quality is sublime, and the smart features have been easy to navigate through and super responsive. The minimalist smart controller is intuitive, but I can see why some people might get frustrated by the lack of number. Luckily, this TV came with a standard Samsung controller as well. It has a sleek design and with virtually all screen and a very flat back and feels well built, but the sleek design means that, with little space for speakers, the sound is compromised. No one should be surprised that sub-£500 TVs don't have amazing sound systems - I had already expected this through reading various reviews. I've ordered a Polk React soundbar, which will hopefully transform the sound as well. In summary, don't be put off by the mixed reviews. This is a brand new product for and I recommend checking out reviews on Kitele and Rtings of the TV for honest reviews. I did nearly opt for an LG equivalent, but at this price range, you won't find many TVs that deliver an all-round package than this.

Received the item via ArrowXL delivery service who were excellent, I had a message of estimated arrival, a call before the item was getting close to delivery and they brought it and placed the box were I wanted can't fault it at all. For the item itself it came with no dead pixels or black smudges on the screen and in perfect condition. I'm impressed with the screen quality and sound, I expected it to be worse for the price if I'm honest. My only small gripe is that the UI is a bit laggy I have another Samsung smart TV I bought a few years ago and it's the same issue.

I wanted a good quality TV at a reasonable cost which was not too heavy so my wife and I could easily carry it up to our attic. This 50 in TV at £418 does the job. It has a great picture. After all the bad reviews about the sound quality I was pleased to find the sound was to my ears very good. I can also listen to it via Apple AirPods. The supplied remote is ok but a little fiddly. I use the TV with SKY Q which works fine except some of the features such as volume control do not work with SKY remote and so for example the Samsung remote must used for volume control.

I like everything about this T.V . The picture quality is great . It has many apps . The T.v responds well to the remote . It has smart features and it is easy to use . It connects well to the internet and to external devices like speakers . It has various settings which is great . So far so good with this samasung 55 inch smart t.V . I would recommend

Brilliant picture and very slim. Not too heavy for the wall and the rechargeable remote is perfect. It looks very modern and is very easy to use. Always buy Samsung tvs bought this to replace a 12 year old Samsung due to wanting better quality picture. Samsung billed to last, would definitely recommend

This TV is very good for the money. Good picture plenty of options through the smart side of it. The sound is surprisingly decent. You get 2 remotes with one is solar which we use but it's a big laggy. All in all we are happy with this TV.

I do regret buying this TV. Its picture is reasonable but not much better than similar makers. It is reasonably priced but nothing great. However, it has some seriously annoying things. Many of its Apps are embedded and cannot be deleted, only moved off the App bar. It is ridiculous that I cannot remove BBC iPlayer and for anyone legally not needing a license, this could be a problem. The adverts are tricky to stop, past workarounds on the internet appear to be countered by Samsung. Trying to block the adverts & so called "App trends" below the Apps bar may lead to problems. The sound is tinny (typical of this price range) and needs base augmentation, but the sound control only has 3 options: TV Speakers; Sound Bar; and surround sound. A simple and cheap sub-woofer would make all the difference. If you are mounting the TV on a different stand, you may find one of the HDMI sockets and the optical socket near it could be obscured by the back plate. The live aerial app which annoyingly comes up every time you switch on, can't be deleted (for those who do not watch live TV). I have to admit two good things. The Samsung Support is very friendly and helpful. The screen works well even in the presence of strong background light. I have noticed that when showing older films especially ones which were digitally enhanced, the interpolation process does not seem to cope well. I am a fan of much of Samsung electronics, but I cannot see me buying another Samsung TV!

The TV AU8000 is one of the best, affordable, very high quality of Samsung’s TV. Colors are amazing, it has netflix, prime and shahid on the remote control. Very easy to use and you can adjust the picture and sound as you wish.

The screen started turning off by itself and on when watching , I have just used for one year and the Samsung service team insisted that I pay USD 200 ( 750 dirhams) to have the motherboard fixed. Even after I was willing to pay the repair fees they cannot give a warranty on the new motherboard, I have used Panasonic TV for over 12 yrs without any issues. My other 2 friends have faced same issues with Samsung TVs and I regret spending $800 on this particular product. I definitely DONT RECOMMEND IT.

Bought it to replace an older model which had a sudden death. Gorgeous beautiful colors, lots of apps, lots of connections, and an extra remote so everything you can ask for but the only downside is its horrible sound. Yes I know I can add a sound bar but I would expect the default TV sound to be of good quality. Thats the reason for 4 stars.
