I originally bought this toilet seat so I can spend more time in the john. I do my best thinking in the bathroom. I once read a short novel on the toilet once.Besides, I thought it might be nice, sturdy toilet seat so that my future ladyfriends can admire my good taste.It's not that ladies wouldn't find me attractive without the toilet seat purchase, but it's just that my ex-wife used to say that I had no clue how to buy nice home furnishings. I feel this is unfair and that she had ill will toward me ever since I started dating her skinny, blonde receptionist some years ago (we broke up after she left me for the lawn maintenance man, Jose.I think these relationship problems are a result of my strict upbringing and probably a result of having to undergo court-ordered therapy (she had a good lawyer in our divorce hearing).Anyway, I have a feeling everything will be better once we get past the upcoming election and we have a resumption of the baseball season. This will keep my mind occupied and I can get back to normal.I told my landlord that I replaced the toilet seat and he demanded that I return the original toilet seat that I replaced. I explained I was unable to do it (it was already disposed of) and he went berserk. I had to call the police on him. He seemed to be overly attached to things that are no longer of any use to him. He might have a mental problem...In actuality, I think he may be sleeping with my ex-wife since she is sort of loose anyway. Nevertheless, I gave him my therapist's number once he calmed down the next day.The new toilet seat has allowed me to meditate on the important things and I often complete most of my office work assignments in there now. Luckily, my ex-wife won't be around to criticize it because the color tone of the seat is not an exact match and she is very fussy about those things.

I purchased this seat over a year ago from amazon. I LOVE that it is easy to clean. I LOVE that no matter what cleaner I use, the color does not come off like the paint does on the wooden seats. I have no problems with daily use or cleaning, the ONLY thing that maybe you should consider is that this lid is plastic as well. For those of you who like to sit on the lid and put on your socks......you WILL feel it give way under you and buckle a bit. I am 110 and experience this. If you are heavier, you will feel this more and you could possibly break it, depending on your weight. If you don't have to close the lid for any reason to sit on it, this seat is PERFECT. It will last a lifetime because it won't "rot" like the wooden seats do. I love the EASY removal clips as I take this off frequently and put the whole seat in the tub in hot water, give it a good soak (every nook and cranny of the hinges) with any cleaner of your choosing........I own 2 of them and would absolutely purchase them again!! FYI I bought them "USED" here from amazon. They were never used, just returned for whatever reason, could be color, size, price....... save your money! They were still new in the unopened package but had a dent in the box!!

Easy to install; check. Super easy to clean; check.Moves sometimes no matter how you tighten it; check. Not a deal breaker, but annoying. The "bolts" that go through the two mounting holes of the toilet are plastic. The original install is done where the tension gets high enough and breaks off the hex head on the end, being tightened to the level they claim is correct.Maybe it is the way some people go to sit on it and the pressure is not enough? I find them just twisted and I grab it, put pressure to twist it back and it goes. Grab an adjustable wrench to tighten it up and I have one that I am probably going to break if I go any farther. Still moves.The easy down function works great from the beginning but time will tell how long it takes for this to wear into the plastic.Would I buy it again? This depends on what I can get for what price I think.
