Paste and it is pretty salty, so with cooking use less salt in your recipe. But it is the best I have ever tasted.

Q: How long can this product safely be stored after opening ?

Refrigerated, indefinitely. At room temp and cyclicly accessed and closed, I'd guess after six months if you haven't used it up, its probably lost alot of its charm other than saltiness. There's no fat or oil in there so spoilage is impeded by the salt. Mine gets used up before the thrill is gone.
