Controversial
Haven't used it much as yet, but it's coming. It's... controversial. I loved it right from the box - neat little tool. Comfortable grip, nothing fancy and unneeded. And that is where the controversy starts. No safety device. None. And I mean -none. To say more - trigger is large, comfortable and hair sensitive. Two of your fingers comfortably lay on it and a smallest pressure releases the piston. I'm very careful person and there is no real danger for me, I hope. To say more - they claim it to be an industrial tool, meant to be operated by trained and responsible staff, and I might agree that it's okay as it is. I can easily visualise an upholstery shop equipped with those little guns. They are really good to work with. However, at home, as soon as I left it connected to the hose and stepped away, I felt uneasiness. Even not having kids at home it's a disaster waiting to happen with that trigger. So I ended up disconnecting it from air line every time I walk away from workplace.Edited:Just finished pretty large upholstering project. About 3000 of 3/8, 500 of 1/2 and 2000 of 3/4 staples. No single misfire. Very nice! Keep disconnecting it when not in use. Seems like no big deal. Money well spent! On their WEB site they have an image of the same model but with somewhat more complex looking trigger, obviously with some safety on it.It looks like it can replace the original part by the end user. Might be wrong though. But if this is the case - I would sell it as a replacement for those safety concerned. Two smaller notes - if it's industrial - some loop to hang it would be real handy. A hard case would be also very welcome addition. So, all in all - very nice product, but not for home. If not this - i'd give it 5 stars without thinking.
