NIV, Foundation Study Bible, Leathersoft, Brown, Red Letter

This is one of the best and most affordable Bibles that I have ever owned! The leather feels soft in the hands and the pages are crisp. The brown color matches a lot of my already purchased leather goods as well so it creates a very aesthetic look to my EDC. I recently wanted to start getting a better grip and understanding of my faith and I am a true beginner in this journey. I have been reading this daily in the morning and the bottom of each page provide a very clear understanding of the readings and overview. This has helped me tremendously in my continued and beginning journey in my faith. Would highly recommend.

I wrote the review below shortly after purchasing this Bible and as I was reading it. Now, I've read it cover-to-cover and well into my second reading. I now can verify this Bible's wonderful properties. My comments below are still valid. If you, as a potential buyer, really want to know the character of God explained, then please get this Bible. As you read, the footnotes explain in detail what the chapters of the books mean and how to interpret the Bible as a Christian who wants to truly understand God. This study Bible make this historical and holy book so interesting to read that I read it every day of the year, sometimes for up to three hours. I now truly appreciate the wisdom and knowledge found in the Bible and my only regret that I had not discovered this Bible many years ago. It is my firm belief that everyone needs a valid interpretation of the Bible as it is being read, because reading a Bible without study notes means that it cannot be interpreted correctly since the footnotes are written by scholars of the Bible. Please read this Bible and become a better person. Excellent study Bible! Excellent notes that preface each book. Footnotes are very good and explain the verses. Far superior to a plain Bible in that the notes clarify all that is written. Can anyone truly understand the Bible without explanation?

It was delivered on the estimated delivery date, in perfect condition, not bends, tears or scratches. The print is a little to small, but the red writing helped understand when Jesus was talking. In KJV (king James version) all the writing is black making it hard to know when Jesus is talking in the New Testament. The NIV makes it easy by having Jesus words in red as everyone else in black, making it much easier to know who is speaking. The wording is also much easier to understand as I don't need to read the same text over and over again to find out what it means. The NIV makes it easier to read and easy to undusted as it comes with a dictionary of words we don't use anymore but the bible has in it. I have liked this version of the bible, I bought one of my friends it as he is able to read it more fluently.

I have read reviews that people said Acts doesn’t have a chapter 1. And I tried canceling my order for that reason, and I wasn’t able to. I received it today 03/13/2025 and it did not have that flaw. I was fairly happy with the Bible. I am giving it as a gift to somebody at church and was really happy it looked beautiful. The Lord knew it was for someone. The Bible is light and easy to carry.

Very comprehensive

This bible is almost perfect to me. I wanted to give it five stars but it falls short in two places. One, it only has an 8 pt font which is borderline too small for my old eyes and second, it only has one ribbon book marker. I really prefer two ribbon book markers but that’s just me. This bible has just the right amount of concise verse by verse notes and book introductions for light bible study. For a deeper dive I grab my NIV Full Study Bible. Even though the NIV Foundation Study Bible lacks in the two places I mentioned, I’m keeping it.

Praise God for this awesome Bible I love it, the commentaries are great and help me dive deeper into God's word, it has already added such a new interesting perspective to my bible reading plan this year 2022. I also love how great the leather looks, very durable and most especially the pages, they feel so great when you turn them and unlike other bibles when you get them new, it's so easy to divide pages like you've been reading it for ages. So blessed by this, thank God for this purchase and God bless you. Would definitely recommend!
