The Salt Knives are all Great!
Any of Spyderco's Salt Series are winners. it just depends on what you are looking for, size, metal, and shape-wise. Here's the lowdown.... First, the steel. H1 and H2 Steel are the most corrosion proof, and both are equivalent steels. They are essentially truly impervious to rust. As a trade off, the steel is quite soft, and dull's pretty easily, but is also quite tough to break and quite easy to sharpen. H1/2 are best to get in a serrated edge due to their softness. LC200N holds a much better edge, but loses just a little on corrosion resistance, but is still very, very corrosion resistant. It's a great all around steel and suitable for a straight edge too. Magnacut looses just a little more corrosion resistance, but is still very, very corrosion resistant, and holds an edge the best of the salt series knives. Magnacut is the trendy steel right now in 2025. You should probably freshwater rinse off LC200N and Magnacut at the end of the day, after saltwater use. Spyderco now makes a bunch of knives in their salt series. All have compatible internal parts that are very, very corrosion resistant. The same cannot be said of other water folding knives, like the Benchmade water series. In other water knives, the internals rust, as they cheap out on the internal metals and parts. The Salt 2 is a nice little knife. It's fairly small and very light, with a 3 inch blade. It is essentially a Delica-sized knife with two different blade shapes and available in serrated and non-serrated. This Warrencliff Blade, in the serrated edge, is very handy. You still get a bit of tip, but with a blade shape that hold onto material and cord, well, for great through-cutting. The Salt 2 has a back-lock, which is a very solid locking system. Locks up tight, and won't open accidentally. It's my favorite lock on "working knives" as has the correct balance in opening difficulty and ease of opening, with a very strong lock up. The Salt 2 is small size and light weight, and is very comfortable and easy to carry. You will not even notice that you have it on you. It has one-handed opening, which is very important when working around boats, water and lines. The bright color makes it easy to keep track of, but may draw unwanted attention in EDC. What do you use this for? A water knife or fishing knife. Suitable for swimming and diving in salt water. A boat knife for small jobs. Trimming things and cutting bait. And small, neglected EDC knife that you don't have to worry about rusting in sweat and wet situations. I'd get the Salt 2 over the Delica any day. For a bigger knife of the same characteristics, get the Pacific or Atlantic Salt. For a similar sized dedicated line cutter / rescue knife get the Tasman. For a stubbier pointy knife, get the Native Salt. For a huge boat knife get the Carribean Salt. For fancier action get the Paramilitary, Para, or Manix Salt. For long pointy knives get the Native Chief or Stretch 2 Salt. All are made well and very rust resistant. Here's some comparisons in size to the Caribbean, Pacific Salt, Native 5, Salt 2, and Tasman

Excellent sharp serrated Wharncliffe utility knife
I have many knives. This is one of my daily go-tos for EDC utility knife. Have been using since purchasing for misc take like open boxes or sharpen pencils. Still very sharp. Also I happen to love the Wharncliffe style blade especially for pocket size folders.

Very sharp knife
Well made knife. It’s sharp and so light you have to check to make sure it’s still in your pocket but the well made pocket clip insures it’s there

Light weight
Perfect EDC size, it’s same size as delica just a lot lighter and will never rust. U will forget it’s in your pocket. The price is a little steep but u get what u pay for. Lock tight the pivot screw off rip or you’ll loose it. This little thing punches above it’s weight class. 👍👍

May be the most functional knife I own
After a hundred or so open and closes of the blade, it is now perfect. The blade design is much more useful than I had imagined. I think all the blades I buy from now will be wharncliff styles. Use this a lot for cooking prep.
