Authoritative and concise (read description)
First I'll mention what's good about the content and then I'll mention what you should watch out for: The good: 1. The pronunciations are reliable, and it considers not only the plural of Latin words, but it shows the variety of pronunciation in American English (for British English, just adapt certain symbols to your speech such as ä, since in American English there are only 11 vowel sounds, but in British English there are 12, an example would be pathology, in Am. English the O in -tho- would sound something like an A, whereas in Br. English it would sound like an open O). 2. The definitions are just what you need to know what the concept is, it's perfect for the kind of situation in which you ask yourself "hey so what's this?" without wanting excessive details. 3. The dictionary includes several abbreviations that can be useful if one doesn't know them or use them all the time. My personal warnings: 1. Do NOT take all the definitions are absolutes, esp. with drugs, e.g acarbose, indeed it's used as therapy in T2DM but it's leaving out the adverse effects such as flatulence, which could lead some people to believe it's always a good idea to use. 2. This is more about the pages, they're a bit fragile, so be careful when leaving your finger for too long as it can "corrode" the ink and things start to look weird on the pages. 3. Even though the online version of this book kind of exists for free, I'd still recommend the physical dictionary, just in case you're not someone who can read on screen for too long or someone who wants to change tabs in order to look up a definition/pronunciation when you can have the actual thing beside you

Very useful information
I am not in the medical field, but I am frequently looking up words in this medical dictionary. I bought a previous edition for my mother, who used to work in a hospital. When she passed, I kept it. Recently I decided I needed to buy a more current edition.

This is not a hardback edition. I've tried to report incorrect product information, but the link fails. It's a great little item, but not as described, just so you know!
