Q: how much sodium benzoate is in this product since I am on sodium restriction?

every 2 fl. oz. - it is 19mg. i am also on sodium restriction because of congestive heart failure.

IngredientsKarela / Bitter Gourd (Momordica charantia) Juice Citric Acid (pH Stabilizer) Less than 0.1% Sodium Benzoate Less than 0.1% Potassium Sorbate used as Preservatives If you are purchasing this for your blood sugar, I did not find that it lowered mine at all. Possible I should have taken more than one bottle to see if it would make a difference over an extended time. I also have to say the taste is not pleasant. I have found a natural product that does help my blood sugar (Berberine Plus). With my medication and berberine added it has brought my blood sugar from 200 and over to at least an average of 155 (this morning fasting was 135). You do have to be careful with this since I did read it can cause damage to you liver if you take more than the recommended amount or over a period of time (I am taking 1000 mg a day). My doctor is monitoring my liver at this time; though not into naturopathic medicine he is willing to work with me with this since it does help and I do not want to go on insulin. I got off of the berberine recently to rest my liver, but it took a little over a week to get my sugar levels down again after starting back with it. Without it my levels raise back up to 200 and over . . . my meds are 1000 mg medtiform twices a day and 10 mg of glipizide twice a day. Make sure it is okay with your doctor and that he does monitor your liver if you do decide to try it. Hope this wasn't TMI.
