This mailbox looks very nice and I was able to get it done myself! I highly recommend this one! It’s beautiful and will withstand the weather! Excellent!

The positive first and the reason for the 4 stars... This thing is amazingly easy to install, even in the winter time with the ground frozen solid! And it looks pretty nice as well, and the instructions were easy to follow and dead on. (Sears delivery had decided that my old mailbox was in need of replacement - LOL). The negatives and the reason for 1 star deduction... 1) The initial package arrived 1 day later than Prime's 2-day delivery and 2 pieces were badly damaged. Amazon being Amazon sent me a replacement immediately, which also arrived in 3 vs. 2 days. 2) The arm that the mailbox gets attached to is much wider than the regular 4x4 lumber that most all mailboxes are designed to be attached to. I had to get pretty creative to make the mailbox I bought work with the wider arm. It took a better part of 2 hours and I had to use a Dremmel to make the appropriate grooves to accommodate the mailbox. The thing that bothers me is that I had contacted the manufacturer to make sure Zippity works with all mailboxes and I was assured it would. True, if you're a bit of handyman and have the right tools to make it look right. Again, the end result is very satisfying.

I definitely recommend this mailbox post! I am newly single and my husband always handled things like this. I chose this post because it seemed easy for me to do on my own. I was absolutely right! EXCEPT…one of the pieces would not go on. As much as I tried, it would not slide down like it was supposed to. I thought it was me but I called the number in the manual. A human being picked up! Christie told me she had gotten a phone call about that particular piece before and thought it might be a manufacture issue. She asked me to check the other pieces and another one gave me the same problem. After asking me to give her some information, she said they would ship out the two pieces I needed to complete the install. Less than a week later (but I am in the same state as the company), I had the pieces. I finished installing it today and I’m so happy how it came out. It was so easy to do, including getting it in the ground. I doubt I’ll ever need to replace the pole now, but if I did, I would buy this same one!

This mailbox post is really very nice. I put a white box on it and it adds to the curb appeal of my house

it’s nice looking, super sturdy, and reasonably easy to assemble and install. I had to screw a small piece of 2 x 4 between the horizontal mount and my large mailbox, becase it didn’t sit well directly on the mount. but it ended up as a significant upgrade from my old wood post, that needed nearly annual painting. you sledgehammer a pole into the ground, and sit the post over it, so it feels like it wouldn’t fall over in a tornado!
