Works great, much better than the blue ambidextrous ones. It can hold a bunch of extra blades in the hilt, and is very easy to clean/lubricate. Fits in the hand well, and has yet to let me down. I’ve used this bad boy every day for a few years now. The blades that are made for it will cut anything you throw at it, and last a pretty decent time before getting too dull.

I HEAVILY rely on the s4’s overall durability. Nice grip. Great cut guard. A little dab of machine oil and you’re set for a lot of cutting!

It’s good for heavy duty cutter

I have one of these at every door in my house, in the utility drawer in the kitchen and the laundry room. In this day of packages you can’t have enough of these. Made well and they get the job done with packing tape on boxes. And not too sharp that teenagers can’t use them. An excellent utility knife for breaking down cardboard boxes. But that’s about all I use them for. This exact brand and model I have been using for over a decade. They store extra blades in the handle and have excellent safety features to lessen the risk of cutting yourself by accident. I have 4 teenagers use these to help me with my cardboard every week. Not a single cutting accident for them going on 2 years now. Highly recommend.

Best box cutter for cardboard boxes. There is a belt clip available for this model but fits well in your pocket, so I never bothered. Important modification. I ground off the "tape breaker point". It is not needed and just pokes wholes in you pocket lining. You can use a grinder or mettal file. The metal is soft iron. One of them I ground off the tape breaker at work for a friends by scraping it back and forth on the rough concreate. That worked just fine also. I have always carried these in my pockets for more than 20 years now. The original I bought is still working strong. Needs a little oil now and then to keep it opening and closing smoothly. For all day warehouse work. I change to a new blade about once a week. Buy extra blades. They are cheaper with today dollars, than tommorow dollars.

I work Retail, doing those late night shifts. Yeah, I know. You either wake up at the ass crack of dawn, or whatever and you're stuck opening pallets after pallets of boxes from a last minute truck. It can be chill or a freakin' birch. Only n00bs use those crusty cutters because you have to squeeze it in order to have the blade come out. NO! First of all, if you're using the blade to open a box you're doing it wrong. This green sword is excellent because it has that metal tip which pierces through tape and slices it off, allowing you to effectively open boxes and stock. If you're a pro like me, it only takes a few pokes to get boxes open in no time. Reserve the blade when I need to well.. you know, CUT BOXES to make displays, or whatever. You know, what box cutters do. Best part of it all, is it even has a hole so you can attach it to a lanyard, or whatever. It allows you to store blades, and it's really easy to clean and lube up. After all, it's a great tool as long as you take care of it.
