SALOMON Soft Flask Water Bottle

It is small so make sure you know what 150ml looks like or you could be disappointed! For me, it's just right though and I take this for a little extra hydration on my regular 5km runs. Comfortable to hold in my hand. Love that the soft bottle collapses as you empty it so the water doesn't slosh around noisily as you run. The cap is a bite valve so easy to drink as you run, but probably no good if you want it to chuck inside a bag (pressure from other items in your bag on the side of the valve may cause it to leak). The way I use it though, I've never had any issue with leaking.Only downside is that I've been using it for a few weeks now and it still has a slight plasticy taste. That's the only reason I didn't give it 4 stars. I don't mind it too much - when I'm running I'm just glad of the water, but it is a shame as it does let the product down a bit. I think I might start putting a bit of fruit cordial in to improve the flavour!

Really enjoy this small bottle, but needed to wash many many times before flavour kind of disappeared. After washing it >10 times, filled in with water and left it hanging for some hours, then washed again, refilled and did this for few constitutive days until water become drinkable.

It's working very well for me. I slip it inside my flip belt before my run. As others had mentioned, it takes couple of time to get used to this product for drinking the water out of it. Good product and highly recommend it.

Use these during obstacle races where they get quite a beating and they have only failed due to human error.I store these in a neoprene belt while doing obstacle races. They held up to all the abuse of being dragged, thrown and crushed while getting over the obstacles. Any initial fear that they might burst under that kind of abuse is well and truly gone after having used several of them in over 10 races.The only problem I've experience is when the top wasn't properly screwed on and it came loose during an event

Got at a discount, so seems like good value. Strong yet lightweight, holds just the right amount for the short distances I do (5-10K). Bite valve works well and it's great not to have water sloshing around as I run, which really puts me off my stride. One star deducted for the horrible, plasticky taste of the water! This hasn't changed after several washes. Seems easy to clean so far but will need to revisit how the valve area gets after more use.

Perfect for running. I don't like to carry bug, heavy water bottles on my runs, so this bottle is the ide size for fitting into my.bumbag whilst I run.

Sorry Salomon - I run in all weathers in a lot of your gear but this just doesn't work for me. It was 26C today on my lunchtime run, first time I really got a chance to try it out and so this is coming from having just spent the last 30minutes running London Docklands in the heat.First of all it is small, but I don't tend to drink much on a run anyway, in the heat the size felt ideal. It was easy to fill and once I had worked out how to drink - you kind of need to bite and suck there was a not taint to the water and it was easy to use without breaking stride.However, the whole thing has the unfortunate effect of feeling like you are carrying one over full used condom. Its genuinely not a pleasant thing to hold whilst running and your hand needs to grip it, leading to the contents warming up as you do. Which meant in the end meant I was drinking warm water from a soggy provolactic. Not pleasant.Back to the drawing board.

I’ve had this a few months and it seems pretty durable - no leaks or splits. Perfect size for 5-10k runs. Water tastes perfect from it, unlike with plastic bottles where it always seems to taste funky after you’ve used it a few times. Do take the mouthpiece to bits when you wash it or it can quickly get mouldy.
