The most cost effective disposable pet bedding I could find, you get a lot for your money. Dust free so the smell isn’t too overpowering, absorbent and keeps cages fresh in between full cleans. If used for hamsters I would recommend combining with paper bedding or soft hay in between layers so that the burrows can be held. Quite soft considering it is basically wood chips. I will continue to purchase this on Amazon as delivery was very convenient.

This is my second bale I have bought this year for my 3 large rat boys, who all hate each other so are all in seperate cages. I have kept rats for 30 years and this is the best bedding I have found. They don't smell, it's soft, cosy, dust-free, safe, they don't eat it not that it would matter if they did, the bale lasts a long time, it's great value for money, and my flat is a lot neater as it's little bits off hemp rather than bits of paper or teabags or paper cat litter or any other inferior bedding I've used in the past. I wish I'd found this years ago.

I bought this for my rats enclosure and it's huge, so will last absolutely ages. It's not like sawdust from the pet shop, much much less dusty which is good for rats.

Great product to use for mice. My batch was quite dusty which isn't ideal. Generally though, a great product and perfect for their little burrows!

I have recently tried using this as a substrate in my rats cage having previously used shredded cardboard. I have found it to work better than the cardboard which didn't really offer much for the rats to dig in but this is able to be piled up much deeper making it easier to bury food and treats for the rats to sniff out. Initially it is quite dusty however it settles out quite quickly, I have found that emptying it out into a large box helps with the dust. It is a large bale that does take up quite a bit of room (rats for scale) and is fairly heavy.Be warned that it does get everywhere and you will be forever finding bits of it around the house but it is easily cleaned up with a vacuum cleaner.The hemp does have a slight smell to it however I personally do not find it unpleasant.Delivery was quick arriving a day after shipment and arrived a few days earlier than Amazon suggested, it was delivered via DX couriers who carried it up to my 2nd floor flat so cannot fault them at all.5* for the seller and the courier company and 5* for the bedding.

Goes everywhere but thats the pets problem not the bedding. Smells pleasant.

I was told i should get this for my guinea pigs as its soft for there feet and helps keeps the smell down and yes i love it and yes its so soft i would recommend it
