I’ve seen others who have been interested in motorizing their Coolaroo Roller Shades. Well, I wanted that to so I figured out a ‘fairly’ easy way to do it. I’ve included a picture of the configuration and a video of the movement. The parts are: 12v 80rpm Reversing Motor

Great mini motor has plenty of torque for what I needed it for and the self-locking in place works very well.

I used this motor to automate the chute in my snowblower. It works very well

Used it for a motorized waterfowl decoy. It has a LOT of torque for its size. It is much smaller than I anticipated, but is good quality and simple to wire up. Very little noise under load as well.

Smooth and strong motor. More torque than I need for steering a trolling motor, but just the right speed (44 rpm). I added a hall potentiometer, 3D printed gears, microcontroller, and H bridge driver making it the perfect steering servo for my boat.

Very low torque, stripped the gears on the first use, extremely loud for the short time it worked. Junk.

Good product will work good

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good reviews, reasonable price, good selection of models within line. Functionality: I owe the manufacturer an apology. In selecting the desired motor speed (RPM) I tried several models. I thought they sent the wrong speed but it was my error, I returned the wrong unit. I think the 470 rpm version will be perfect for my project, I will edit as things progress.
