Item is exactly what I want. Installs easily. Got to be careful measuring these though - make sure you measure the diameter of the pipe, not the outside.

I ordered these to replace existing deteriorated bathroom vent covers. These fit the bill perfectly and took only about 3 minutes to install. The 4" duct from the vent fan fits perfectly over the vent tube so it forms a good seal when you put it in place and screw it to your soffit. I like the built in bug screen! It keeps pests out and does not impede the air flow. I'm glad I found these. Thanks!

This vent is a great option for a soffit vent that is pest proof due to the tighter louvre layout and mesh screen behind. We had an addition built on to our home (by previous owner) who unwisely let the contrator jsut leave the dryer & bathroom fan exhaust ducts sitting on the soffit with no real vent. Made me cringe when we moved in and realized all that hot and humid air was getting trapped in the ceiling of our breezeway. Anyways, very easy to install and love that the louvred panel drops out pretty easily with a flathead screwdriver for easy cleaning and inspection. Just pull your exhaust duct through the soffit, wrap with HVAC tape (therrmally rated) and screw into soffit. Most soffit vents either have "self-closing" louvres which in an inverted oriuentation would just remain open letting bugs and other pests build a nice home in your duct-work. Only reason I have a 4/5 stars is the plastic quality was not particularly robust and the included screws were pretty short and not capable of proper embedment into any kind of woof framing. I'd image if you popped this with a hammer it would crack quickly. So would not recommend installing at knee-level or below if you run a weed-eater or mower around the perimeter of your home.

Great vent to use to replace old metal ones. Feels very sturdy and fits a standard 4 inch pipe easy enough. The fiberglass mesh to keep out critters is flimsy so I purchased some aluminum grating to replace that. The faceplate clips on/off with ease so it makes cleaning or changing things out really easy.

Our vent on the side of our house was cracked off from exposure to the sun over 15 years. This one is perfect, installed easily, looks great. I'm not sure at this point how long it will last, especially being directly exposed to the sun, but it is so reasonably priced. Would recommend!

There is nothing wrong with this vent cover however it comes with a screen that does not let any lint get past it. After about a week or two I I popped off the cover and popped off the screen and it was loaded with lint, which would start a fire in no time. I got rid of the screen. The last one I had did not have a screen and there were no bugs or anything else trying to live in there. If they were as soon as we used the dryer they changed their minds and got out. Again this is serious. Throw away the screen and still make sure that you pop off that cover once a week and remove any lint that's piling up.

Just what my husband was looking for but could not find at Home Depot.
