Immaculate. Food somehow tastes better when using this pan.

This is not a flat pan. The description states that it is a flat pan meaning the inside of the pan is flat and the oil will cover the the entire pan's surface. However, there is a slight curve to the pan which pushes the oil to the sides leaving the center of the pan without any oil or lubrication. It states that the non-stick properties of the pan can be achieved with one tsp of oil - not true. You need a lot more oil than a tsp or even a tbsp. The pan cleans up nicely after cooking BUT the pan now smells like the item cooked in the pan - we cooked fish and now the pan smells like fish after cleaning it with barkeepers cleanser. It is a good pan, does it cook yes but for $400 bucks - it should be flat, and it should not take on the odors of the foods you are cooking.

This pan cooks well and little stick on so a silicon spatula cant remove even if burned on. It is a very attractive pan as well. I plan to buy more in future.

Would I have like to have paid less for this Hestan pan? Yes, of course. But I'm still enjoying it immensely. I love the feel of the pan's surface on my hands. I love the ease of cleaning. It took one round of Bibigo mandoo to learn that the heat was more intense in this pan than in others I've used. The next time the mandoo was perfect. If I could afford it, I'd buy an entire set.

Updated review - 5 stars Got a replacement unit and finally the quality I know hestan for. Arrived earlier than expected and finally sits levelled with the hob. Thank you to the amazon customer team for helping me out get the replacement. Hestan customer support did not help at all. Previous review - 1 stars Waited two months for this pan for it to be defective. The bottom doesn’t sit flat against the induction hob and is concaved in and handle is wobbly. The gap cause it’s not levelled and oil pools at the side of the pan instead of spreading out evenly. Before and after picture of the flatness of the bottom.
