Haven't used it yet. It arrived in a banged up box with next to no internal cushioning material. It appears to have only a couple of minor defects, still does not instill confidence on something you are going to stand in front of at 3600 rpms. Update: I installed the wheel and watched my pedestal grinder walk around from the shake and vibration. The plastic bushings that come with it are junk. I machined a brass bushing from some scraps and it's ok now.

Pro's: it did not fly apart at rated speed. Cons: wheel is not true axially or radially; the center bushings are garbage; arrived with a chip off one of the edges; could not be trued with a dressing stone. threw away the wheel.
S**!
Norton has traditionally been good. Sadly, they have gone to crap! I made a bushing on the lathe to hand fit in the stone and on the shaft with a total of .0005 (1/2 of a thousandth) clearance. Shaft is true bushing perfect, stone wobbles about 3/16 left to right. You be the judge! Oh, self aligning washers as well. Just to make sure.

Norton Bench and Pedestal Abrasive Wheel, Type 01 Straight, Aluminum Oxide, 1" Arbor, 8" Diameter, 1" Thickness, Medium Grit (Pack of 1) The wheel is NOT MADE IN USA. It clearly says imported on the package, and on the wheel it says made in Mexico. I hate all the false advertising. It is going back
