ROBERTS 2057-0 Vinyl Adhesive, 1 Quart, Creamy Tan

I am replacing the vinyl flooring in my bathroom. Due to past water damage, the floor is uneven with dips. I originally got this floor glue to level those dips off. The really bad dips did not level off perfectly and some of the peel and stick tiles we're popping up along the edges. I used some of this glue under the lifting areas and I have not had a problem since. Caution: this glue can get really messy and really sticky, so be super careful and wear gloves. A little goes a LONG way!!

Purchased to re-seal treading on stairs. Will need long set up time and warm temperatures to get adhesive to properly bond.

Good adhesive

This product is extremely difficult to work with. The consistency was so loose that getting it on the wall was almost impossible and although I am not a professional, I have been doing tiles and flooring for over 50 years. I expected the consistency to be like peanut butter and it was more like yogurt. As for adhesion, it is VERY difficult to remove once it gets on something. My application trowel and knife required soaking in acetone and cleaning with goo-b-gone to make them usable again. Product is not for the "faint hearted."

If you dare use this with no gloves, I pray that you enjoy the feeling of your hands becoming suction cups. I used this for vinyl flooring and it does the job of sticking well, but I must have not let it get tacky enough after almost 2 hours and it made a huge mess between the flooring. I had to fix it and it was a pain in the butt, but this adhesive isn't to blame for my ape qualities
