RapidReceipt RR-60 Mobile Tax Receipt and Color Document Scanner with Complimentary Data Management Software for PC & Mac

Just this year I've started scanning my receipts. I have a nice all-in-one, but it's limited to 8-1/2 x 11 inch pages; I can crop the scan, but it's not very good. I have a portable hand wand scanner, which when in its docking station is similar to this. But it's a pain! A scan to pdf is limited to 11 inches, so I've had to save as jpg ... which works okay, but it often feeds crooked and sometimes cuts off the edge of the scan. So I decided to splurge and give this a try. And I'm very happy with it. It feeds the receipt through smoothly, quickly, and always straight. I save the scans as pdf files, and the quality is good. This is making scanning my receipts much nicer. Note that I'm not using the software to export to Quickbooks or Excel, or anything like that (although I have those programs). I'm simply scanning in receipts so I can throw out the hard copy, and I can scan through the file to find something if I need to.

I have a big scanner on my printer - but this is awesome for when you need to just scan in receipts or really anything small. It is super quick, great quality scans and you can take it with you anywhere! Way easier than using my big scanner to scan receipts! It can scan up to the thickness of a credit card - haven't tried anything thicker yet. Super easy to use. Just place in slot, push button and the software lets you save as pdf, jpg or you have other options of what you what done with it. You can import receipts into Quickbooks too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This is my favorite device in my office. Super easy setup. It organizes all of our invoices and receipts so they are easy to find. The best part is you can export all the information into QB online AND desktop!!! Even if you don’t use QB, this is a must have. It is very lightweight and portable but still well made. This scanner is a game changer. The images on regular documents are surprisingly clear for a portable scanner. Only downside is that is doesn’t do duplex scanning. You have to manually scan double sided but it does allow you to combine the files. Love love love it.

Scanner is well made and compact, pulls through a wide variety of items. THe software is only somewhat helpful. it has OCR and tries to categorize the data in spreadsheet, but never quite figures it all out. So takes lots of editing to get all information correct - maybe it is because receipts just are not very consistent.

The software does not work so manual entry of data is required. However this is a lot easier than scanning with phone as you can workin in batches.

Total Waste of money. It's ten times faster to just scan the receipts using the QuickBooks iPhone app. This scanner scans them fast, but then the software is a million hurdles to jump through to get the receipt to Quickbooks. But the most disappointing thing is the quality of the scan. If your receipt is on 8.5 x 11 paper it's good, but if it's on normal every day receipt paper the scan comes out very shotty. 90% of the time the amount is wrong, it never picks up the Vendor properly which means you have to go in and correct every receipt you scan line by line. This scan will create more work for you. The hole reason of buying this scanner is the first place to make that process more efficient. Well this one does the exact opposite.

I take care of the "back office" chores for my wife's hairdressing business and there are more than a few register receipts to scan. Of course, this gadget will scan letter-width documents but honestly, if I have more than one or two of those, I'll use the ADF on the desktop printer/scanner. Skinny stuff is where this scanner shines. No more trying to line it up on the platen glass. No more multiple scans for long receipts. It scans quickly and accurately, and it tucks into a desk drawer when I'm done. The scanning software works pretty well and I appreciate its integration with Quickbooks. iOS compatibility would have been nice but wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Not compatible if your laptop has a snapdragon x CPU. Don't buy, will have to return.

Best purchase I’ve made in a long time! I used to manage all my bills and receipts manually, but this little buddy has made the whole process so much easier and more organized. It’s small, lightweight, and impressively fast, which makes it really convenient to use on a daily basis. The only thing I wish is that the USB cable came with a USB Type-C connector, since most newer laptops no longer have USB Type-A ports. As a Mac Pro user, I don’t have any USB ports at all, so that part is a bit inconvenient. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase, and I even went ahead and bought the additional warranty for peace of mind.

I've been using this device for almost two years now. I already had a review that I improved, and I gave an extra star to the product. I had to return it once, under warranty, because the USB connector was faulty. It seems fragile, and since there's only one, it often ends up on the wrong side and gets in the way. A port on each side would be a blessing! The scanning speed is fast enough to scan hundreds in an afternoon, almost as fast as I can feed it. The recognition is decent. Let's say it recognizes the total and the supplier in about 85% of cases. For the rest, it's well below that. Be prepared to revalidate and correct everything, which is still better than with manual invoices. The whole thing lacks web connectivity, and the app looks like it's from the 90s. The supplied app is okay but has a few bugs that make data entry difficult. It however uses an SQLite open-source database that's fairly easy to interact with. So I give it a star just for that! Finally, the worst part is that it gets dirty too easily and quickly, and as soon as there's the slightest bit of dust, it leaves large black lines on your scans. There is a small cleaning sheet, but it doesn't work so well. Eventually the scans ends up unusable and you can say your scanner goodbye, which is sad, because everything else still works. EPSON PLEASE PUT SOME AI IN ITS INVOICE RECOGNITION ALSO MAKE THE GLASS REACHABLE AND CLEANABLE BY HAND AND YOUR RR60 WILL BE A 5 STARS DEVICE !

Scans directly to accounting applications. Works like a charm.
