Nice quality unit but D shaped guide takes some getting used to.

I build hot rods and race cars for a living. It's always a tight fit in the old 30's with large motor and modern amenities not to mention things like race seats and roll cages. A quick release is a real plus for entering and exiting as well as when your working on the interior and under the dash. Finding a good SFI approved one at a reasonable price is almost impossible. I have used ball type NRG quick release in the past that I was happy with but never liked how lining it up could be a PITA, so I thought I would try D style this one. This makes the entire process sooo much easier and this unit is TIGHT without ANY play at all. This has always been my experience with NRG products. If I ever got one from them that was sloppy I would assume it was a defect and have it replace. This is now my Go too style quick release on my my builds requiring one.

This is a GREAT product at a reasonable price. Index lock ensures the wheel is always on straight. Using it on my track car and it inspires confidence with a solid engagement with no slop

Great fitting quick release. Smooth action on and off and super tight. Quick release without trying to find a button to get it to work. My favorite model I’ve used.

I got this because I needed a quick release for my rally car to make entry and exit easier. Works great, no wobble and it’s a solid quick release. Got third in my class as a cherry on top

The quick release look flawless, every part of it are well made with super clean anodising. However there is a noticable play in the connection witch is unnaceptable for my use (simracing) might do the work on a real car. Can’t tell if it’s a normal standard from NRG i got a bad batch

Wotking as design. Easy to install I bought an adapter for s13. Now much easier to leave a car with the safety cage.

I read the other review(s) about the play in this quick disconnect but ignored them. I have other ball bearing style disconnects from NRG and they are great. Don’t ignore. I’m telling you, there is a totally unacceptable amount play at the connection here and there is no advantage at all to this quick disconnect over NRG other style which is awesome. I returned and got the SFI rated ball bearing style…again.

Product was sold as new item, but when I received the item it was clearly used and returned, it had paint worn off where bolts go, the Sfi certification sticker was removed, and it has some sticky glue stuff on it.
