This throat-coat tea is a comforting go-to whenever my throat feels scratchy or irritated. The blend of slippery elm, licorice, and other herbs gives it a smooth, slightly sweet flavor without being overly medicinal, it’s really pleasant and calming. I love that it’s organic, non-GMO, and caffeine-free, so I can drink it anytime, even before bed. Each tea bag is compostable, which makes me feel good about how I dispose of it, and the packaging feels thoughtful and natural. After just a few sips, I notice that my throat feels more relaxed, and the herbal warmth helps soothe irritation. Overall, it’s a gentle, effective tea that’s become part of my regular self-care routine whenever I need a little throat support.

This product has been a life saver. I have the worst cough I’ve had in ages and this tea, really helps take the urge to cough away. The taste is great and the effectiveness has been wonderful with an affect that’s both soothing and cooling. Anyway, I’ve been a long time fan of their Throat Coat Tea, and it’s my ‘go-to’ when I have a cough or a sore throat. I buy this product again and again.

It's no miracle worker that's for sure. But the fact is that it does provide relief depending on the severity of your throat infection. Day 1, it provided short term relief. It made the pain bearable for 2 to 3 hours. Day 2, it provided a little more relief for about 2 to 3 hours. At this point I started to mix the tea with honey to increase relief. After adding honey, it increased pain relief but still for only 2 to 3 hours. Day 3, it provided relief for about half the day before I had another cup again. Mind you, this is paired with cough drops, rest, and plenty of water. The taste is nothing spectacular, it tastes exactly what you think a herbal concoction would taste like. At the end of the day it did it's job. Provided temporary relief in a efficient manner.

I have the Threat Coat lozenges on subscription, and will be adding the tea as well. I used to be able to dfind in person locally, but not so much at the moment. The tea is best with boiling water and steeping for 15 minutes, as directed on the package. I find it more effective than just any other tea with honey. Highly recommend if you sing or speak, or if you are dealing with dry air from being cooped up in a heated space in the winter! Plus I enjoy the taste!
