This is a magical little bowl. Once you get the hang of it (after like 5 tries, don't worry, it isn't complicated), it produces a beautiful, high tone that is easy enough to hold without scratching the sound. The wool setting can be used in your hand or just for display to protect the surface. It is my first singing bowl, and I'm glad I purchased it. We use it in our homeschool to begin and end circle time. My daughter loves to try it and has me hold her hand to demonstrate the motion. It's beautiful for setting the mood and drawing attention.
