Excellent punches they work wonderfully, the included hammer not so much. The hammer is impractical to use because it is small and doesn't have much weight to drive pins in or out, the size of the hammer makes it hard to strike the punches with accuracy I recommend using a different hammer. I would definitely purchase again.

I purchased these for working on my firearms and have already used the kit to hammer in a few roll pins on a lower build. Everything works as expected and it's very nice to have a complete set with the roll pin starters as well. I did read other people's reviews about certain punches being bent, so I was somewhat reluctant. When my set came in the mail, all of the punches were straight as an arrow with the exception of 1. Ironically it was the size I needed for the forward assist roll pin. It worked just fine, even given that it was not perfectly straight. My final thought is that I'm sure there are very high grade punches out there made out of nicer tool steel that come straight and trued. Those punches are likely much more expensive than this set, probably double or more the cost. For it's intended use, I'm fine with the Wheeler kit and it gets the job done for me. For what it's worth, if you have a vise I'd just press the bent punches in the vise and straighten them out and carry on.

These are one of my most used tools, when working on firearms. These punches really help prevent damaging the firearm, when getting the roll pin started. They make dealing with tight fitting roll much easier. Hint: Apply a drop of oil to the roll pin, prior to insertion. This will help prevent damage and ease the process. The oil will also help prevent future rusting of the pin.

These WILL RUST so be careful and put oil or wax on them. Excellent tools that do what they are designed to do.

Made in china. They do their job. It would be nice to have the sizes etched on the punches.

Bought this as part of my AR build. I knew these were going to be top quality and I was not disappointed. They worked flawlessly and were a great tool to have during my build. I keep these in my toolbox now as there are many other great uses for them.
