Bought this filter to install on the secondary air pump of a 2014 Toyota Tacoma for the so called "Uni mod". I could not find the Uni filter in Canada and buying/shipping from the USA was too costly. This filter fit perfectly.

As expected of K&N filters, this piece is high quality and fits like a glove in my GX 460, replacing the garbage OEM foam filter in the secondary air pump. Sits perfectly flush with the OEM housing in the engine bay, so you can hardly tell it is there. Not a huge fan of the chrome cap, but I'm sure there's a blacked out option out there, and worst case I can take a sharpie or some spray paint to the top to make it a little more subtle. Overall would highly recommend, and this seems like it'll last quite a long time.

This is the 1" flange ID breather filter from K&N. It's perfect for those performing the EcoBoost "VTA BOV" mod, or rather vent to atmosphere blow-off valve mod. This mod removes the recirculating hoses that connect from the turbo hotside charge pipes to the cold side intake pipes. This eliminates hot oily air from re-entering the tract, helping to reduce charge temps as much as possible. The EcoBoost is a great engine, but it does not like ingesting hot oily air. The new K&N breather filters use a dry-woven synthetic that I believe is from AEM, and K&N used to use their cotton oiled gauze for their breathers. This changeover happened within the past 3-5 years. Green Filter makes an equivalent to this filter, except the flange thickness is 1/4" making it nearly impossible to slip over the BOV. I actually crushed one Green Filter trying to install it. The K&N flange is thinner making it more pliable. The filter for the VTA BOV mod is not for clean air entering the system but rather to keep debris from accidentally damaging the BOV. The BOV's will push hot oily air out, so the insides of these filters may require cleaning over time. Overall: 5/5 stars
