I have both exclusively pumped for 1.5 years and exclusively breastfeed for 1.5 years and I couldn't go without this nipple balm in either situation. I will go into more detail but my main takeaway from this review is that this is the perfect nipple balm. I have bought it at least 10 times according to my Amazon account, for me and as presents for baby showers. I used this every. Single. Pump. During my 1.5 exclusively pumping stint. That makes me intimately familiar with this stuff on a molecular level. This is the PERFECT lubricant for pumping, I would just put a dab on each side then pump away. I can't recall ever being sore or rubbed the wrong way and I attribute that to this nipple balm. It is easy to clean off the pump parts and doesn't build up on them. For exclusively nursing, I used this a lot less but still needed it around. This is great to put on when feeling sore or to aid healing if there's a scratch, chomp, rough unlatch, or overall soreness. It really is almost instant relief. I used this a lot in the first few weeks when I would leak so that the milk drying on my bra or nursing pad wouldn't stick to my ni*. Pros: ** (Super important)** Lubricant- GREAT for pumping, just put a little on each side, attach pumps, and your ni*s will thank you. **Super important** Glides on- I have had other nipple balm (ahem, Medela in a tube) that you have to really RUB IT IN to spread it on. You don't want that. This literally glides on, no rubbing needed. - odorless - Spectra breast pump- I really feel like there needs to be a partnership between spectra and lansinoh because this jar is the perfect size for the bottle holder on the backside of the pump. I always knew where it was when I was exclusively pumping - thick glass container- not a deal breaker for me, but it is nice to know it's in glass and that it is pretty sturdy - lip balm- a nice little treat for me, goes on smooth and keeps lips well hydrated Cons - I cant think of a single thing that could be improved, I genuinely think it's the perfect product Highly recommend, I contribute some of my success in my pumping and nursing journey to this balm!
