The set is not a highly detailed set, however, it is of great quality and the magnetic track system is ingenious. The rail sounds are great and loud and clear and the remote makes operation super easy. The one major drawback would be the track system although ingenious additional tack is super expensive with no switches available. These sets are getting hard to find so either Lionel has stopped producing them or there is a shipping problem. However, you can buy Kato, Bachmann, and old school sectional track for super reasonable prices. At 241.00 this set is a great deal as the locomotive itself is 200.00.

Eine Lionel Eisenbahn war immer ein Traum. Als Kind mit Märklin angefangen und die Steam Geräusche und das Choo Choo nachgeahmt, bietet die digitale Eisenbahn von Lionel wirklich alles und der Sound ist fantastisch. Als Ansage hätte ich mir "all aboard... " gewünscht, ansonsten bin ich begeistert. Die Magneten sind auch auf Laminat recht stark, selbst bei schneller Fahrt. An Zubehör von Lionel vermisse ich Momentan Weichen.

I Purchased this train set used like new in may 2024 Never took the set out of the box until March 2025 as was saving for my grandson to get older. Found remote did not work along with bent engine parts and did not move at all on the track. Terrible loss of money. Just beware that you need to make sure it works properly if you intend to give it as a gift. I am updating my review to let others know that a qualified mechanic of train engines noted the wiring was not totally connected for operation. Fault of my own for fear of further damaging the engine. Works properly however some parts did have damage and missing part.

Wunderschöne Eisenbahn, hätte sie gerne behalten aber dass Netzteil ist nicht in Deutschland zu gebrauchen. Des Weiteren hatte ich das Gefühl, das die Verpackung schon einmal geöffnet wurde oder der Hersteller die Ware schlecht verpackt hat. Die Gleise lagen kreuz und quer im Karton und ein Fach war nach dem aufräumen leer. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist komplett auf englisch und beinhaltet keine Auflistung der Teile. Habe schweren Herzens dieses Set zurückgeben.

I purchased this train set 3 years ago and it's been nothing but aggravation from the start. I've wasted hours trying to get the train to run but it keeps stopping due to poor track connections and uneven sections . I tried cleaning all the contacts and the track surface with steel wool but that did no good. What good is the magnetic quick connect tracks if they don't work? I only try to run it on the Christmas holidays so it's not like there's a lot of wear and tear. Lionel needs to issue a recall or provide some kind of fix for a set that costs this much!
