Hella H87988431 Color Shieldz Yellow Protective Laminate For 500 / 500Ff Series Lamps

These were a solid pickup for my halogen Hella driving lights. Gave me the look I wanted and haven't had any issues peeling off or anything. Been through the automated car wash several times with them on and never had water mess with the adhesion. Look good, install easy, give you a yellow output as desired. Wish they were cheaper.

Works great on hella fog lights. It makes your yellow fogs nice and deep.

These are excellent; far higher quality than I expected. They are a thick high-quality flexible plastic material that is crystal clear, well crystal-yellow, whatever, you get my point - they don't cause the light-beam to become diffused. The adhesive is very strong, but also has enough forgiveness that you can remove a shield if you really botch up an install. Once installed they look like an original part of the lamp, but should also provide some stone protection you wouldn't get with a yellow-glass lens. I can't speak to how yellow the light is if you use clear bulbs, as I paired them with the 85w yellow hella bulbs, which together provide a very bright yellow light. I've had them on since just before last winter. They held up through the winter, car-washes, bug splatter, etc. and still look as good as new. Very pleasantly surprised.

Fitment: These fit my Hella 500's perfectly with about a 1mm gap between the film and the edge of the light. (Not enough for light to get through) Color: These lights do change the color of the Hella 500's. They do not change it to the deep yellow of a 3k HID fog light kit but you shouldn't expect that from a $35 film. I have headlight armor film on my headlights and they match perfectly in hue. Both let out a very noticeable yellow tint to the light. When I am next to friends at stoplights and a truck drives by you can see a marked difference between their stock halogens and the lights with the Color Shieldz Yellow applied. The hue is a nice pale yellow that gives great visibility Durability: I have had these on for 6 months now with many trips down California's I-5 and they have held up exceptionally and have done a great job protecting my lights from rocks and bugs.
