Just a few days ago, I purchased this laying nest with a tray and curtain on Amazon, and I'm already thrilled with the results!The construction of the nest is solid and sturdy. Moreover, the assembly was simple.The egg tray is truly wonderful. Even though I've only been using it for a few days, I can say that it has made a big difference in egg collection. It's very convenient and prevents the eggs from getting damaged. They simply glide smoothly onto the tray, ready to be picked up.The built-in curtain is a very useful addition. It provides privacy for my chickens while they are in the nest. I love being able to provide them with an intimate space where they feel safe and relaxed.The nest seems to be constructed with durable and quality materials. I hope it provides me with many years of trouble-free use.Cleaning is also quite easy thanks to the removable tray. I've only had to clean it a couple of times so far, but I haven't encountered any difficulties.In conclusion, this laying nest with a tray and curtain has been an excellent acquisition for my chickens. I am satisfied with its quality and functionality. My chickens feel comfortable and protected, and I enjoy the ease of egg collection.

Before it arrived, I got a spot all ready for it. My little hens are not quite ready to lay eggs at present. It will be around the end of July or the beginning of August. I haven't spent a lot of time watching them, so don't know if there's a lot of curiosity from the girls yet. I've just started to let them free-range now, while I'm supervising them. I ordered some small rubber matching mats to place inside each cubicle of the box for the chickens to lay their eggs. It was very easy to assemble, and I like the way that the front legs curve for better balance. For more privacy, I added some cardboard in the back. If they don't like that, I can always remove it.

Once assembled, it’s proving to be a good investment.Let me offer a suggestion for assembly. You will receive a few bags of screws and nuts. Use the short screws for the basic assembly, but make sure to put them from inside to outside prior to attaching the nuts. The long screws are basically used to attach the legs. The odd screws are used to hang the unit if not using the legs. I figured all of this out after a few hours.

I installed the box in there with the fake eggs about 2 weeks before my chicken started laying, after they started laying they weren't interested in the box but I still kept it in there with the fake eggs and just last week when I was going to look for eggs in the coop I saw that one of the boxes had two instead of one, I would recommend using a nesting pad instead of bedding or straw because it just slips down into the drawer that's meant to catch the eggs and blocks it

We received our nest box ten days ago as planned. Assembling was easy there were even extra screws (nice detail).We have 10 chickens and it is working very well for us. It took a few days for our chickens to get used to laying in the nest, we put the false eggs that come with the nest with a little wood chip so that they would not roll down as it says and so our chickens got used to using it.We are happy, if we increase the number of chickens we will surely buy another.

It was easy to install, most of my chickens like and use it. The durability seems fine, despite the plastic. However, where the eggs roll to is not deep enough, letting chickens reach the eggs from inside. Another reviewer said the can peck the eggs through the plastic mesh as well, though I haven’t seen that yet. Will have to replace since I don’t want to cull chickens.

My 3 girls adjusted quickly to the new nesting box. I used coconut fiber plant baskes and cut slits so they fit and the eggs can still roll down. Assimbly was quick and easy. I love the lil curtain, my girls enjoy the privacy. Eggs roll down and easy to collect. Super happy with my purchase!

Negatives:Opened package, parts damaged and bent. Curtain holes don't line up and are larger than the screws meant to secure them. Many nuts are in hard to reach places, difficult to screw together. Lacks lock washers or locktite on the screws so I've got no idea how long the screws and nuts are going to stay secure. It would have been very helpful to have included a drill template for the hanging screws. Directions could use some work.Positives:Looks nice.Will add more if I find any.Considering damage and parts that didn't line up would have been happier at about $40 cheaper. Instead I had to bend and modify to get it together and make my own hanging template.
