Effective non-stinging aftershave, smells of vetiver
I've been pleasantly surprised with this aftershave - I normally like mintier, more bracing aftershaves, but decided to give this a shot based on the reviews. I have the liquid, not a gel or lotion - not sure if that's an issue with the description, or what. I use this to shave both my face and my head. As an aftershave: this does a fantastic job of closing my pores, such that I don't know that I really understood what "closes your pores" meant before using this. I read in another review that after using this, it feels almost as if you haven't shaved that day at all, which is true. It's completely non-stinging and not minty- it's almost like splashing mildly scented water on your head/face, and *poof*, any post-shave irritation you had is gone. I haven't had the experience of having any particularly bad nicks yet, maybe owing to the new shave soap I also purchased (Montana Naturals Smoke Jumper, which is also great) - so maybe once I get sloppy and cut my head, I'll come back and update how it deals with that. Scent: I'm picky about scents, and don't like stuff that smells really "that guy", as in overwhelming traditional scents. The smell on this is subtle, and doesn't last, but I like it. I hate how so many products have overly wordy descriptions of their scents which basically tell you nothing and don't represent how it actually smells, so let me offer a one-word take: VETIVER. If you don't like the smell of vetiver, you won't like this. There are some other, earthy notes, but the clear standout is the vetiver. If you don't know what vetiver smells like, well... it's extremely "green", like a pine forest , but not sweet like a Douglas fir - more of a sharp green. I like it, personally, but it's one of those "love it or hate it" smells. The clay gives it an earthy undertone, too- so overall the smell is really natural, not cologn-ey. Overall: fantastic product, does the job well, and smells good if you're into earthy vetiver.

This stuff is great
When I got the bottle I opened it immediately and was kinda disappointed with the scent - I think it's the Witch Hazel, but it reminded me a bit of gasoline. But that was the only thing disappointing at all about the product - it works absolutely GREAT. Lucky for me the scent does dissipate quickly, and I can't smell it at all after a minute or two (not even on my hands). I use this on both my face and my head when I shave, and I have noticed a drastic reduction in in-grown hairs and irritation since I started using it. I can feel it tighten my pores and rejuvenate and soothe my skin. I usually shave my head and face every other day, and on the days when I don't shave I sometimes splash a little bit on anyway if the shave the day before was rougher than normal. I am hoping it helps moisturize once we get to the dry winter months as well. I haven't tried an aftershave in years, all the ones I tried previously burned and caused more irritation. This has a slight tingle, not quite a burn, on any cuts or razor burn spots, but not bad at all, and on areas that weren't irritated by the shave it just feels nice and soothing. I'm glad I found this product and plan to continue using it for a long while!

Feels great, smells funky
Iv had multiple post shave stuff, this one is interesting for me. It feels great on my face, doesn't dry me out nor sting. But the smell is so strange. Not bad but not good either. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Smell Doesn't last long luckily.

Great scent and quality
I really like this stuff, couldn't find it for quite a while but glad that it's finally back in stock. My wife loves the scent and I do too. Definitely seems to do the job and I like that it's so natural.

Impressed, Manly, Moisturizing. This is how to treat your face.
I was in search of an after shave that was natural, chemical free, made of natural ingredients and hand made. Steep request, but I was happy to see a US company out of Portland who had high reviews. My impressions with this after shave are of high satisfaction with a product that moisiturizes, heals my skin after shaving, and smells amazing on a completely different level. The scents are masculine, reminding you of the forest, yet it remains modest and doesn't overbear you with an unneeded cologne smell. Amazing product that has expanded my interest in other products from Fieldworks Supply.

VERY small bottle. scent is ok, not great. Love the ingredients
Love how natural this product is and the clean ingredients. The scent is okay, my wife said it doesn't smell very good. As others have noted, this is VERY expensive. It comes in a little tiny bottle. I know that's good for the manufacturer (so you have to buy it more often) but having to purchase a small bottle more often is wasteful, creates more plastic waste, and gives this product three stars. A bigger bottle that lasts longer would offer more value to the consumer, and be better for the planet.

Jump into a cool clean lake with just your face
Shaving leaves my face raw. Chemical filled balms and splashes leave me irritated all day. It's awful. Face of Danger is the magic bullet for me. It cools my raw skin, closes pores and nicks, then leaves a protective layer. Once it dries I can then put on my cologne splashes. The issue is the price. It's about 1/2tsp per shave and I shave 6 days a week. 4oz = 24tsp, so you get 48 shaves per bottle. $16 for 4oz is just greedy considering the fact that it will only last 2 months. They need to either sell a larger bottle at better value or a bulk package and price. Or lower the cost of the 4oz to around $9-12 at most.

Do they still sell this?
Been a long time since I had this, I was a regular user for years but they went out of stock and I never came back but the quality was great.
