I am a 52 year old male who has been fighting hair loss since my early 30’s. The most popular topical treatment worked to slow down the hair loss but not so much as to regrow hair faster than what was being shed. I am on my fourth month of taking Hair Omega and the results are amazing. For the first bottle I took 4 capsules twice a day and within 2 weeks I noticed hair regrowing along my facial hair line. The most noticeable growth (which is almost completely filled in) is at the top of my head in the typical balding spot. Thinning in between the facial hair line and top balding spot is now gone. With the 2nd month I reduced my dosage to the recommended amount and the hair growth came to a halt. What did regrow stayed, but there was no noticeable change. I now take 3 capsules twice a day and that seems to be enough keep a steady regrowing of hair in the still thin areas. I did not stop using the topical treatment as I am worried that this may hinder the effects of HairOmega, but I am slowly reducing the amount I use until I have the volume of hair that I want to be back where it belongs. Each person may react differently, depending on how much DHT is in the system. For me, I will continue taking 3 caps twice daily until I am at a point where all I need is to maintain the re-growth. At that point I should be able to do just fine with the recommend 2 caps daily. I will also hopefully be free of the over priced topical treatment which is why I decided to try HairOmega in the first place.

Hello. I had finished my 3 week research about a month or so ago regarding hair loss supplements that were not only reviewed by Amazon customers but also by medical professionals on various websites accessed from the results page. The top hair loss supplements - equipped with DHT blockers - that I found, and are also here on Amazon are: HairGenics (Propidren), Follicaide, Dr. Formula (HairOmega), and Haircore XL. Propidren, the most expensive, is equipped with iron, for those who may be iron-deficient, Follicaide is especially for weakened or damaged follicles, thyroid issues, and postpartum hair loss, scalp conditions, such as inflammation. HairOmega is a good budget item helping with a the basics, scalp inflammation, damaged follicles, etc., but the one I got has biotin in it. A formula is also made without the biotin...and Haircore XL is for stress-induced hair loss, such as alopoecia, mental stress, harsh chemical treatments leading to hair loss, hormonal imbalance hair loss, etc. So if you're looking for capsules, I've already done the research. From the results page I've checked 10 different websites, took notes, compared prices to the amount of the product, and everything else you can imagine. These are the top 4. Have a great day.

I give these five stars for how effective they are at helping hair growth if you have alopecia. I've been using them for over four years. Recently I have noticed that when I run out of them, my nails change dramatically in growth and strength. When I resume taking the supplement, my nails become weak and start to break. These supplements will not help regrow hair in the thinning areas, so it's a little bit of a dilemma for me. Has anyone noticed this? Please leave a review and if you found a workaround this problem, can you please include the info on it?

WARNING for anyone who's allergic or sensitive to Niacin, I bought this stuff for hair growth and unfortunately only skimmed the ingredients list. Which is my fault, this product did infact make my hair grow and made it look super healthy. However around my 4th day of taking 1 pill in the morning and 1 at night I began to feel hot tingly feelings all over but especially my face, I thought it was hot flashes or a panic attack at first that's how strong it was. I don't normally have any bad reactions to meds so I didn't think about this symptom being from this hair growth medicine. By day 5 the hot burning feeling was at a peak and I realized I had actually felt this kind of symptom many years ago when I took niacin to pass a drug test for a job. I had a bad reaction and felt horrible for 2 day's, once I realized I knew what this feeling was from I ran to my bottle and read the ingredients list in more detail and sure enough there it was, Niacin. Again this is more of a user error situation and you should always fully pay attention to ingredients lists, this product did work very well for me just unfortunately I cannot stand niacin or how it makes me feel. I will say that while it did make my hair look healthier the biotin I was on last year did the same thing, I only stopped because I couldnt afford hair care needs for a bit due to the rona. I'll be going back to my regular biotin now and maybe in the future if they remove the niacin I'll try this product again. Or if anyone has hair care products they can suggest I'd love to find new stuff for my poor hormone imbalance falling out hair.
