Mohawk Home Dual Surface Felt and Latex Non Slip Rug Pad, 1/4" Thick, 3'x12', Brown

This rug performs its intended function effectively. I recommend purchasing a size large rug to accommodate a custom cut. I used the leftover material to on a smaller 2x3 rug to reduce the waste. Surprisingly, it didn’t have any strong odor, like some reviews have mentioned.

1 month Edit: 100% Brilliant at holding couch cushions.. cushions hold almost perfectly in place.. even with an 8 year old. Works great for holding couch cushions in place. I have a sectional couch where there is nothing to keep the cushion on at one point.cut this to fit under two cushions, and it holds them firmly in place. Cut reasonably easy with a good set of kitchen scissors.

Great quality, great price. No odor at all. However, the pad is one-half inch wider than the 3-ft width that was ordered (3x12), and it extends beyond the rug it is under. I have no means of trimming it.

I have woven several rugs for our hardwood floors and always had a problem with them sliding across the floor (a bit dangerous). I've use a cheap type of non-slip rug pad but they tended to fall apart after not very long. The Mohawk Home Non Slip Rug Pad Gripper 1/4 Thick Dual Surface Felt + Rubber Gripper provides a bit of cushion and stays where you put it. I like that I was able to cut it to the perfect size for my handwoven rugs. One side is felted wool and the other side is rubberized so if you have hardwood floors you put the rubberized side down and if you have carpet you put the wool side down. Some people complained of a terrible chemical smell. I did notice that when I first opened the packaging and especially when I laid it out in the sun to get the fold wrinkles out (it comes folded for shipping). But once I got it installed under the rugs the odor dissipated and I didn't notice it anymore. I would recommend this product.

Product was excellent, super high quality for felt--exceeded my expectations. ONLY ISSUE is the rubber backing deteriorates leaving tiny small bits of rubber debris... But still excellent overall For most people, this will not be an issue as it will be on the floor under a rug. My use was something else, so still 5 Stars.
