Didn't work for us
I'm giving this 3 stars because it did NOT WORK AT ALL with my cat. I don't know if it's the product or my cat so I'm being kind with 3 stars. This did not help us at all.

No more scratching my couch!
Must be applied weekly and has a strong odor but works great. I just open the doors and widows when I spray and let the room air out for a couple of hours. It isn't a horrible smell, more like a mix of natural ingredients, but strong. Once it dies down in the immediate breathable air, the cats can still smell it I n the furniture so they leave it alone. It has even worked at keping them off furniture if I mist it on the day I want them to stay off like when I have visitors orI just cleaned stuff. Definitely getting more.

Did nothing except smell up the whole room, terrible odor. I started by spraying an ottoman that is a favorite scratching place. Half hour later and throughout the next few days the cats are still scratching. I should have known better - I have yet to try anything that actually works, don't know why this would be any different.

Didn't work for my cats
I received this on time. I had such high hopes for this. My two rescue kitties just can't seem to stop scratching the woodwork on my doors. I have given them a ton of scratchers and they still want to use my bedroom and bathroom doors as scratchers. I bought this hoping it would deter them. I followed the directions and sprayed it onto to the woodwork. It didn't faze them in the slightest. Maybe this product will work for others, but not this house. I will keep looking...

Not bad
Seems to work for a little while but then loses it's effectiveness. The cats scattered for the first use...literally left the room! VERY pleasant to the human spraying it on.

Works 50/50
Worked for one cat not the other? I have a two year old and a one year old cat. This seemed to keep the younger one from clawing, but the oldest one doesn't seem to care, she still claws. I can tell she's not a huge fan of the smell but it definitely doesn't keep her away. Maybe I'll be more aggressive with it?!

Just what I was looking for...
Great stuff. I sprayed my new furniture weekly when I first got it on the sides, corners and lower edges. I wanted my cat to be trained to sit on the furniture but not destroy it. She is getting trained very well with this product. No scratches or tears anywhere and she sits and lounges on the couch like a good little kitty. I only spray the seats if I see her clawing a spot which she has only done once. The smell is pleasant but the pump is a little wonky because of the angles I have had to spray. I also used it on the corners of the rugs because she likes to pull them up and chew them. She has stopped that as well.

The product didn't work. However, something else did!
It didn't work at all for my cat. I sprayed even more than what's recommended and my cat like deliberately went there exactly at the same time every time I used the product. My armchair is in even worse condition because I postponed trying something else while giving this product a chance. I personally hated the smell, but my cat obviously didn't have any problem with it.What it did help for us was getting another scratching post, this one standing up as opposed to the horizontal one we already had, and putting it right next to the side of the armchair where our cat wanted to scratch the most. He didn't stop attacking the armchair completely, but for a week now I would say he lowered this activity for about 90%. I expect in time to be even better, and I hope to be able to relocate the post without negative effects after a while.
