Amp has a custom-tuned HyperX 7.1 surround sound algorithm that provides greater detail than our previous generation Cloud USB sound card. Amp features digital sound processing that enhances the microphone quality. On PC, Amp also has separate sound paths for game and chat, so that only game audio is virtualized to surround sound and chat audio remains the same for clear communication.

Q: will the amp be able to actually work on the ps4 with the controls provided on the amp

this is a must if u own hyperx ,I use it with my ps4 using hyperx cloud alphathe different is much better than plug your headset to controller as .DS4 can produce enough power to headset lead to weak base and low volume once u plug this item things getting better .I mainly play fps and I can hear enemies position much better than before.but if u have extra cash buy sound blaster g6 this is the ultimate performance for any wired headset
