This was not for me but for my teenage son who watched youtube videos on how to solve a Rubik's cube. We had several of the what-I-think-are-'genuine" versions laying around the house, and as he's become better at solving it (can do it now in under a minute), they were falling apart, stickers coming off, etc. So he asked me to get this one for him, and within minutes of opening the box, he was loving it. Feels a lot different than the old cubes, has some 'spring'/flex to it, and most importantly, is fast, he can do moves now with just one finger. Takes a little bit of breaking in, less than an hour, and I applied a tiny squirt of silicone lubricant to the innards, and now it's quite zippy. He's happy, I'm happy. Decent price for a good product. I hope it lasts and will update my review later if it doesn't. === update a couple months later ! Since Amazon wrote me to answer a question, thought I would update my review... still 5 stars! My son has rocked this little guy out for a couple months and it's held together well. Once in a tiny while one of the center cube covers will fall off (this is how you adjust the tension, there are screws in each one) but that's rare. All sorts of little and big kids play with it, other than being nicely broken in, has held together. Still has my recommendation for any mid- to serious Rubik's cube lover!

I'm writing this after 10 months of using it, mildly overall because I didn't use it for the last 2 months. There is literally nothing to dislike about this cube. It's fast. It's controllable. It's lightning fast after lubing and doesn't get uncontrollable. AND you can customise it by putting magnets into it, it's a cheap and preferable upgrade (I've heard N45 magnets work best with it). Prior to this, I had QiYi The Valk 3 which went 5 years without a scratch until one of its pieces broke while putting it together (if you're wondering, I had bought it for ~Rs2300). After that, I kinda lost interest in cubing so I bought the cheapest, most preferred, most tested cube in history .... YUXIN LITTLE MAGIC ✨ And it's almost been a year since I bought it. I haven't lubed it or cleaned it in months (which you should), and it still RUNS. Absolutely recommended. And I bought it for Rs313 10 months ago, but I'd still recommend it for the price of even 500, it's that good.

I own the Gan 356 X, Gan 354 M, Gan 356 R (custom magnetized), Moyu Weilong GTS3 M, Moyu Mofang Jiaoshi MF3RS3 M, and even have the yet to be released Gan 356 XS on pre-order, but I have to say this is now my current favorite cube. Yes, I'm serious! With a little modification and tweaking, a $6-9 (depending on where you buy it) cube is actually right up there with a $30 and even $60 cubes. Now, this cube is decent enough right out of the box, but to be really good it does need some setup/tweaking/lubing, and to get it to be my current favorite, I magnetized it using a 5x1mm Strong Magnet Kit from TheCubicle.com. FYI, the only reason I used these particular magnets is because I had previously ordered this magnet kit for magnetizing my Gan 356 R, but the 5x1mm magnets are too large for the Gan 356 R and interfere with the reassembly. So I bought 4x2mm magnets from GaussBoys.com for the Gan 356 R and used the larger diameter magnets in this cube. They worked great! Despite being called a "strong" magnet kit, at least in this cube the magnets are really only medium strength. Using Gan Magic lube and these magnets, the cube is buttery smooth, quiet, and very stable. I loosened each tension screw 1/2 turn, and corner cutting is now excellent, while still be very stable with no corner rotation (admittedly likely due to the magnets). I just cannot emphasize how incredibly smooth and quiet this cube is! The cube does have a frosted finish to it rather than glossy. I don't mind it, but some people don't like frosted. I find it gives me more grip on the cube, but most people report the opposite with frosted cubes and prefer glossy for better grip. I don't particular care for the colors -- they're a bit brighter/florescent than I prefer, but I'm unusual in that my favorite stickerless cube colors are on the darker Gan 356 R. Still, at least this cubes colors are different enough that solving isn't hampered. Sometimes with brighter colors red can look like orange, yellow can look like white (or green), etc. These colors aren't that bad, but they're just not my favorite. I really feel this is one of the best cubes out there right now. Yes, it requires some modifications and tweaking to get it there, but they're really easy to do and you'd be hard pressed to beat this price for a flagship level/quality cube.
