Does this require a specific grade lamp/bulb to solidify?

[Not sure what you mean by "solidify". Wipe the emulsion into the screen, then let it dry completely in a dark place, then expose it.] I use a generic 500w worklight, like from Lowes or Home Depot, 18 to 24 inches above the screen, about 9 minutes. No safety grill, which would cause shadows. You MUST experiment first... create a design with some pattern, then expose it in sections ... use a piece of cardboard to incrementally uncover more of the pattern so that one end gets X minutes, the next X+1 minutes, etc., then do the wash-out and see which worked best.

After you open the bottle for the first time, how long can you store it before it dries up? Or is it essentially "use it as soon as you open it"?

I just burned a screen using a bottle of this emulsion that I mixed in April. So, a little over 4 months stored on the door in my fridge and it worked perfectly! In the past, I've never pushed it longer than a few weeks, but it definitely worked.

HOW MANY SCREENS CAN YOU MAKE WITH THIS KIT?

Ive made 8 17x14 screens, and ive got about 1/3 of the bottle remaining. (plus i scoop coat both sides of each screen). I use a "scoop coater" highly recommended for even spreading and to use a bit less goop. I keep the unused bottle in the firdge and Ive had it work after 8 mo...

can you use organza fabric stretched on embroidery hoop? also is there a specific transparency you have to use? thanks

I use an embroidery hoop all the time. Stretch it as tightly as you can, then take an iron on the setting for silk (it’s very very low - a 2 on my iron), and gently & quickly iron - this tightens & smooths. When your emulsion is dry & you are ready to print, remove it from the hoop, place on a board that is covered with a black piece of fabric, place stencil on top of your emulsion coated mesh, then place a piece of glass on top. Before you rinse it out, it helps to place it back on the hoop. The nice thing about this method is that you can store your designs nicely & when you want to use one, just place it back on the hoop to print. It works best with very small images. Mine are usually 3inx3in., but I often print 3 on 1 hoop, & use them 1 at a time.
