Q: Does this need to be melted down to make bars? Is the bag just chips of soap? If so, how do you use it?

The soap comes as a 1 lb solid block which you can cut into bars. It's much softer than traditional bar soap though and pieces will crumble off the edges or corners. It's best to cut thicker bars so they will hold together better. Because it's so soft, any broken pieces can be put back together by squeezing or rolling them with your hands & formed into any shape you want. Instead of using bars, some people break off just the amount of soap they need to wash or they make liquid soap out of it.

Q: Can you use the soap to wash your face with your hands without it burning you or having stinging after-wash?

Yes. Do not use the actual bar on your face, because there are grains in the actual soap that will scratch. But to lather in your hands and wash your face, it works great.

Q: Will this soap lighten my skin?

When I used it. It didn’t lighten my skin. It dried it out really bad. To lighten your skin, try Aveeno brightening brands or try Burt’s Bees brighten brands. They worked wonders for my dark spots on my face.

Q: Where should i store this product? will the refrigerator be fine or my room by any chance? i need help!! i don’t want my product to go bad.

Hi there. I just store mine in a cool/ good room temperature place. Right now my soap is in a closet. I chop off pieces to use instead of trying to use the entire bar and store the rest.
