Splat the Cat Takes the Cake (I Can Read Level 1)

We love Splat books! Cute stories with small lessons that don’t feel to nagging to a little boy. Really great prices too compared to other kids books.

My four-year old daughter chose this book for herself. She loves all the "Splat the Cat" books. The illustrations are adorable and the stories are easy to read and good for pointing out sight words. She was interested in these books for about a month - now she was into natural history and more difficult readers.

It's sentences, fun and easy, most of them rhyme. That is a fundamental learning technique every child should learn before 2nd GRADE...

great series for young kids my daughter loves cats so this is perfect for her and the price is great

My son loves the 'Splat the Cat' series. This book is super cute with easy to read words and colorful pictures.

My grandson loves these books! Easy reading and great illustrations. They arrived in time for the birthday party and the whole family is very happy with them. These are the kind of books that encourage young children to pursue their reading skills.

Exactly what I needed

This is a really cute book and I bought it for my 1st grader. It is a much higher reading level than "1"... but my daughter still likes it a lot.

American spelling and not written by the original author.Good story, if a little disjointed. The lovely illustrations are true to the style, but are not by Scotton. Ghost drawers, whatever next?

Well he is happy to read them on his own and finds them very amusing at times, lovely illustrations too.

My daughter loves this book and I love this book too.It's a very funny and interesting book.We will always buy a new one.
