The story is about the incident 15 years ago and now. I read back and forth, also zigzaged between truths and lies. When I reached to the middle of the book, I completely lost and couldn't trsust anybody but the girls of "The Lovely Bones" reader, "National Geographic" subscriber and the Super hero fan. Riley Sager is one of the best writers of physiological thrillers to come along in years. "The Last Time I Lied" is a story about 3 young girls who go missing from a summer camp and the young girl, Emma. feels guilty for not warning anyone. Emma returns to the camp after 15 years and eerie events happen to her. An unexpected twist at the end. I certainly recommend this one.

I have a love-hate relationship with this book and I don't even know how to rate it. 3.5? 4? 🌟 What I know for sure is that the first part was suuuuper boring and slow. Absolutely nothing happens except that in the last paragraph it starts speeding up. Part 2 was really good, I was on the edge of my seat and I wanted to discover what had happened 😄 I didn't see some plot twists coming although I predicted one big thing from the beginning! I would recommend reading this book but you need to become aware of its slowness, so be ready to be patient!

Ein sehr gutes Buch, welches meiner Mutter viel Freude bereitet hat. Es soll spannend sein und gut geschrieben worden sein, was man sich eben von einem guten Buch erhofft!

riley sager did it again! I loved it. The story, the plot, and the plot twist caught me off guard! I love his writing , it's very descriptive and atmospheric which always makes the story 100xbetter. I have to say this is one of the best thrillers l've read so far this year .It starts off slow but once the story picks up I couldn't put it down. There are a lot of characters but I never found it confusing. Some are likable, some not so much and a tew are mean. I got totally caught up in figuring out what happened and was suspicious of everyone. Thus, I was intrigued and had to know whodunnit! Even though I guessed one of the plot twists, I never in a million years would have seen the second one coming. I know there was a subplot going on but I didn't mind because the main story kept me hooked. The woods cabin and lake were the perfect backdrop for a book about missing girls. If you love slow-paced books with a story about missing girls and characters that keep you doubting everyone this book is definitely for you. thewayfarerreads I love love Riley sager books!
