I am passionate about healthy living, and therefore I try to choose things for everyday use as carefully and consciously as possible, including cosmetics. Let's start with the main point — this spray does fulfill its function. In reviews, you often come across information that the spray doesn't work, but don't get me wrong — we are talking about MEDIUM hold, which means it may not be suitable for stiff hair! Considering that the product is gentle and natural, one might think that even if a regular medium-hold spray worked for you, this one might not. In general, this is a choice for easy styling of manageable and silky hair. The manufacturer assures that the formula is free of sulfates, parabens, and other harmful chemicals, but it does contain sunflower and citrus. I can't say for sure if this is true, but it feels like the spray dries faster and that my hair feels healthier, somehow. There is no sticky or heavy feeling on the hair. The spray gives good volume, but I remind you that it is still more suitable for fixing a hairstyle as a finishing layer. In conclusion, I am satisfied with my purchase and believe that the spray is worth its price. I recommend it as a product for daily styling!

UPDATE: I stopped using this about two years ago because the bottles kept breaking. The nozzle stops working and then the spray head won’t even let you push it down. This has happened 3 times in a row after barely using the bottle. Sometimes what I need, I can do with the hairspray on my hands, but I got tired of paying for a product that won’t work. It’s also too heavy with this kind of nozzle. I still love Andalou for skincare, but not buying this ever again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love Andalou brand products. They are full of good stuff and none of the bad stuff. This hairspray does the trick for my short, fine hair. It usually holds all day. I do find it makes a difference in how much I use as to how strong the hold is, and that in turn influences how soft and natural it looks. I’ve settled on just a spray or two in my problem areas for extra hold and I let other products do the bulk of the work (styling powder or fiber paste). That works great for me and makes the spray last for a long time. I’ll use extra if I know I’ll be outside for a while or it’s windy out. I wish the nozzle gave a more consistent, finer spray though. I think it would be a better hold if it did, because sometimes it can clog up and I think that’s why less is more here. If it was a finer spray, it would be a softer/flexible but still strong hold.

Nice soft hold and a pleasant citrus fragrance. I love that it has natural ingredients.

I am not a fan of this product. I tried to return it, but the seller would not allow me. It is sticky in the bottle has late since day one. That is why I tried to return it because it leaked. I do not recommend this product.

Holds well and easy to brush out. Clean ingredients.

What did I use this product for... errrmmm My hair. lol... Joking aside, It is very good. It has the amount of hold I need in a hair spray. There is nothing I dislike about it. I have used it for sometime, which should say something about it. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you. Oh and it came on time too.

A family member with balsam of Peru allergies had no reaction. Holds hair well.

Overall, I really liked the product for what it is but I'll try and break down things into different sections based on my opinion: Scent: Really love the scent they use. It is a fragrant citrus but its not overpowering at least in my opinion. Value: The product is a bit on the pricier side I do admit but given that it uses more natural ingredients, it is something still within a range I am willing to purchase. Design: I think this is where a lot of the negatives come in especially as seen from other reviews as well. The nozzle which they use is a manual push and spray type and so you'll need to keep pressing a few times. While personally for me, I haven't had issues with it dripping so I can't really say too much about that aspect. But just don't expect it to be an aerosol type of hair spray. Hold: In terms of the hold, it is decent and does its job. I don't have much complaints in this department but depending on the volume and just how stubborn your hair may be, you may need to spray quite a bit for it to hold properly. It usually takes me about 10-12 sprays to have an overall solid hold and i'm a male with short to medium length hair (though disclaimer being that my hair is also rather stubborn). Like others have stated too, it is also rather sticky if it gets on you but nothing a quick rinse of water won't solve.

Really nice hairspray, smells great and acts like a hairspray but without the chemicals, exactly what I wanted!
