Chamberlain MYQ-G0402 Garage-Door-Sensors, White

My old sensor disappeared when I had a my garage door replaced. It was on the old door and didn't make the transfer to the new door. I had the old version, still do on other doors, of this product. I was pleasantly surprised how easy this new version was to set up, and works with the app. Setup is a breeze. Just follow the directions. Took my maybe 10-15 minutes to install, setup, and verify it works. Works fantastically. Price was reasonable. There was plenty of cord length and wire length to get everything plugged in. Connected to the app and my internet first try. Great product. Lets me know everything going on with my garage door and opener unit.

I've had this installed and their app running for about 7 months (DIY by me, a 60+ y/o female). It was easy to install and worked right away. There are helpful videos on-line you can watch also (and I ran it on my laptop while in the garage to follow along with the steps to install). It has been great UNTIL YESTERDAY - but their CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE PERSON WAS GREAT! Which is why I'm finally reviewing this. App stopped showing the control and acted like I needed to set up a new unit suddenly. I tried unplugging it, and even unplugged my router. That didn't resolve it. The app stopped recognizing that I had the Hub and sensor installed. The HELP/APP CHAT on my phone was useless and a waste of time IMHO, but gave me a phone number to call for help. After calling you need to give answers to an (AI??) agent voice. NOTE: be sure you hear a clicking after your answers when first calling, or you'll just be sitting there while waiting for it to recognize your answer! Happened to me, and it was waiting for a YES answer not explanation! Once that was done, I was connected quickly to help. Agent was patient even when my phone cut out a few times since I was in the garage. He even asked if he could call me back if we were disconnected. He walked me through the app menu to get to where I could reset the hub (turned out the hub on the garage door wasn't connecting). He waited until all steps on app were followed by me (many are skipped such as installing Chamberlain units on wall and garage door). I re-paired our (Genie) Garage door opener to the unit (HELPFUL HINT - use a long broom handle rather than have to get on a ladder to push the pairing button!!) and he waited until the garage door worked (lights blinked and unit beeps and door opened once paired) and waited to make sure I was able to see the unit in my app to control it and close the door. It's a great unit, and It's been nice to be able to open the door with the app while in my vehicle. Really, it has worked great for 7 months. I did have to change out the battery on the small hub that attaches to the inside of the garage door much sooner than I thought (about 2 months after I first got it installed). I had a notification in the app that it was low. It was easy to do and the battery was available at my grocery store. If for some reason I ever need to get another one, I'd choose Chamberlain. Worked great with my 9 y/o Genie Model 4024 garage door opener and I feel they'd help with any issues I may have in the future.

This system is great especially if you have an older garage opener. Our garage door openers were installed in 2003 and it was compatible. Make sure you check before your purchase, but it seems to cover quite a few systems. It was pretty straight forward install for most DIY people out there. We love the app and the ability to close it from the app. Especially like the available schedule built into the app. We were waking up in the morning once and a while only to find we left the garage door open all night long. Now we have ours set to close automatically at 9 pm, haven't left the garage door open since we got it! No more asking your other half if they closed the garage door after you went to bed and then having to get up and go check. You can just bring up the app to check the status. It also gives alerts if selected on the app as to when it opens and closes. You can open and close the doors from anywhere.

The most important thing I want to point out is that this opener IS COMPATIBLE with my Linear LD050 garage door opener. I was reading a lot of mixed things about how well it works with Linear, and that they removed Linear support from the app. They don't have Linear officially listed among their supported manufacturers, but I was able to use the "Learn" button to program my MyQ opener easily. Pros: - Works with my Linear opener! - Easy setup with thorough instructions in the app (honestly way too thorough if you know what you're doing). - Simple app that covers all the basics Cons: - No Google Assistant integration. - Minimally configurable notifications. Like I wish I could configure it to notify me after the door was left open a specific amount of time. - This is somewhat hearsay, but it seems they have a lot of outages. Would be unfortunate if you lost access to this while away from home, but as long as it doesn't spontaneously open the door, you're no worse off than if you didn't have the product at all. I just installed this today. I will update if I have any reliability issues.

El instructivo dice que el modulo se instale alejado de cosas metálicas, sin embargo lo instalé en la misma estructura que sostiene al motor y funcionó sin problemas. Por otro lado, el sensor de posición lo atornille en el panel superior del portón y la instalación fue sencilla. Una vez que el usuario principal configura su perfil en la aplicación, se pueden agregar accesos adicionales en forma de copropietarios (pareja, hijos) o usuarios temporales.

Dunque prima di acquistare dovete sapere che questo prodotto non funziona con le fotocellule quindi non è adatto a voi . Il kit è ben fatto sempre se non utilizzate le fotocellule ripeto. Ho dovuto renderlo in quando ci sono cascato anche io .!

Spent 2 hours to sort out connecting the device. myQ app did not even list the product to select from. I never had this much of difficulty connecting any device in the past .

Installed about a month ago, so far so good. No issues with connecting to the garage opener, had to switch to my IoT wireless network last week, was easy to change networks. The app works fine as it's very simple, like the logging of opening and closing ability. I was able to open for a courier last week so they could drop-off a package securely. I also have a camera in the garage, so I know what's happening and can see the delivery taking place. When the garage is closing, there's an audible beeping prior to the garage moving, good safety measure. All and all, I would recommend this product.

Muy satisfecho con el producto, funciona perfectamente. Tuve un poco de dificultad para vincular el myQ hub con mi abridor de puerta Craftsman, encontre que tuve que reiniciar completamente el abridor para permitir que el myQ se vinculara correctamente. Esto causó que los controles remotos existentes dejaran de funcionar y no me fue posible configurarlos de nuevo, asi que tuve que sustituir el control remoto original con la aplicacion de myQ. No se si esto es un problema con Craftsman o con myQ, sin embargo si funciona para el proposito que requiero.
