Useful information if you are thinking of getting a Phantom.
This gets 5 stars because it was offered free during the pre Christmas buying season. Good, but short, introduction to DJI Phantoms. If you are thinking of getting a Phantom, this offered some useful information to get you more familiar with what I think is the best of the hobbyist level quadricopters. (If you call it a Drone, it freaks people out - stick with quadricopter). My primary interest is the photographic and videography aspects of flying. But for a $1,300 investment, I wanted to read everything I could before buying.

Okay booklet for new Phantom owners
This is a quick read which really helped me understand some of the obtuse and cryptic DJI terminology. I'll read it a couple of more times before I take my just ordered Phantom 2 on its maiden flight.Unfortunately this booklet suffers from a lack of basic editing which drives me nuts. Mr. Issod has left out a word here and there, has used wrong words, and doesn't understand the difference between its and it's. (It's is a contraction of it is!)

Good read for new Phantom buyers
The info in this book did help me make a decision on which quadrotor I wanted. It wasn't overly comprehensive but there was more than enough info on the different versions and what benefits each had to offer. In the end I am glad I got it as I learned enough to make an informed decision and purchased exactly what I wanted in a quad. Without this book I would have made the wrong choice

Perfect for DJI Phantom 2 noob.
Perfect for a total Phantom 2 like myself. I was getting frustrated with the lack of a simple "get started quickly" guide (or at least YouTube video). I agree that the 2 page DJI quick start guide is "dangerous". Indeed, I first tried to fly in the house (hey, no chance of a fly-away, right?), and let the magic smoke out of an ESC.Well worth $2.00 USD.

I found the DJI Phantom2 Vision + works as promised . I keep firmware updated ,make certain compass is in calibration ,I don't fly beyond my current skill level .The Vision +can be a hand full if you loose orientation which is easy because of it's size ( or my aging eyes ) , That's when return home comes into play it works fine .I have no modifications other than dyed props .The DJI Phantom2 Vision+ has become my training platform since getting the YuneecQ500+ which makes it easy to forget your flying skills .The DJI P2V+ has served my needs as they are now .

not a field guide
I was hoping that this would be a bit more like a user manual in book form. It would have been nice if actual manuals could have been included or a bit more how too.History of DJI and drones interesting but definitely not a field guide.
