While I appreciate the added security with the push button release / chain… The tiny screws that come with it will not suffice. The tiny screws provide ability to easily push hard enough that the product will release from the door and or wall, I had to secure mine with longer screws.

The hardware is solid, although I wasn't satisfied with the length of the screws. I opted to use longer screws I had on hand that would imbed deeper into the door jamb and wouldn't be able to get pulled out so easily should some nefarious criminal attempt to yank it. Be sure to pay attention to the chain part of the hardware, it has to be installed in a certain direction to be able to secure the end of the chain so it wont swing around when not in use (and not make that annoying clanging noise). I left the chain dangling foot loose and fancy free and as I drew the door open the chain came swinging around and I nearly thwacked myself in the face! That would have hurt like the dickens! I immediatyl secured it in its little holder to avoid damaging the money make in future door usage!

Excellent product, especially colour which matches our new door. My only observation is the unnecessary wide width. I had to fix door lock vertically as a large proportion of the inside door is glass. However, looks great, and does the job.
