This gate made me super happy. Excellent material & construction and it just works exactly like it should. It looks and feels like serious adult quality, not a struggling college student's haphazard desperate last minute solution. This is the kind of thing you'd find in the proud suburban home of an approaching-retirement pyramid marketing guru who pours all her effort into maintaining appearances but needed to put a gate between her rooms. If it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me, because this lady knows how to stage a house. This extends beyond mere aesthetics & smart install. It is very good quality, thick metal, and not needlessly heavy but still very sturdy, so a very strong dog or extremely muscular baby can be imprisoned in it as long as needed or as benevolent conscience will allow. For me, this is about 5 minutes while I pet my dog-hating cats, or up to an hour while said cats eat their wet dins and then perform a sadistic burlesque show for my sad dog to demonstrate exactly how much she can't possibly eat them behind the gate, no matter how much outrageous smack they talk. P.S. if you pull it out of the box and it seems like the gate is crooked, that is normal and okay. It's sort of built to favor one side for the sake of physics, so that when you set it up in the doorway, it has enough pressure to stay shut. No Damage to Home: It's fine on walls - no damage whatsoever. Have moved it around a few times & it's great. Ease of Install: I'm crippled at the moment, and still managed to install it myself from a wheelchair. It is a little heavy, and I have some use of my feet so that helped, but my point is that most people should be able to install it without too much trouble. I didn't use the instructions, but it did come with them and they seemed fine.

This is a great, safe gate that keeps my toddler from having access to the stairs at the same time keeps my dogs from being able to get into rooms that they shouldn’t be in. It is very affordable and high-quality. I would definitely purchase another one.

Beautiful quality easy to use gate. We use ours for our dogs. We love how easy the gate door opens and latches back in place.

Me acabo de cambiar de casa y necesitaba mantener a los perros fuera de la cocina. La mejor reja que he comprado hasta ahora, no solo se ve bonita sino que es super resistente. Mi gato 🐈‍⬛ ya me demostró que él sí puede brincarla pero le costó trabajo y la piensa antes de hacerlo. Compraré otra para el piso de arriba porque me encantó lo fácil de instalar, fácil de usar y lo bien que luce. 100% recomendada.

This gate is even better than expected. We bought it to contain our new puppy and it works great. Opening can be achieved dry easily with one hand by lifting the gate door and sliding the lock over. Hubby can close with one hand but I still need two. Might just be me. But it is simple to do and we elected not to screw it into the wood and it still is strong using just pressure although the manufacturer recommends using the screws. I can see if you had a small child this extra step would be advised. I tried to show the latch and sides in the pictures for those who are curious.

I do like the look of this gate. Very modern. It is also very sturdy. It can be tricky to open. Myself and my husband have just gotten use to it and we have no problems but it takes our guests a few times to understand it and most of the time we just end up opening it for guests. I wish the sticker placement was different as it’s hard to get off / and technically you’re supposed to keep it on but it takes away from making it ascetically pleasing.
