I haven’t had an operating ice maker for over a year. This week I removed the old broken ice maker container and replaced it with this one. Within 3 hours, I have ice. The box and special attachment part are exactly like the quality or better than the original parts. I’m very happy with how easy it was to install. Great value!

If your ice maker is leaking into the crisper compartment check the side of the ice bucket for a crack, if you find one, buy this. Instant problem solver.

Replaced our cracked ice bucket in a Samsung French door refrigerator, ice apparently became soft and refroze expanding and cracking the ice bucket. In researching ice maker issues found a you tube article on warm air infiltrating the ice maker compartment ; we didn't have any apparent leakage around the unit itself but was intrigued by leakage via the ice flapper. A telltale sign was mineral buildup around the tip of the water dispenser tube. getting access to the flapper was challenging but doable, watched several video's which made removing the bezel look easy, not mine; ended up using a very thin putty knife on lower right corner of bezel to pop the first catch then followed it around, from there gaining access to the flapper was straight forward, cleaned flapper and plastic housing thoroughly of mineral buildup. After 3 weeks ice maker appears to be working perfect! Notes: 1. Installing the bucket for the first time took a little more effort to latch, may have been a stiffer gasket material 2. Upon initial install with just a couple ice cubes in bucket it sounded quite noisy as others have alluded too, however once full of ice sounds the same as the original 3. Now when adding ice to a glass and filling with water the cubes freeze into a solid mass indicating to me they are much colder then we experienced earlier. Bottom line I believe this was a good purchase; will need to clean flapper every couple years to prevent reoccurrence. PS; we change the water filter whenever indicated so that is not an issue.

This ice maker is okay but does not fit perfectly. It goes in okay but it does not seal properly. When it dispenses ice I get a little bit of water before ice. The ice is softer than normal. Then the ice machine pushes forward from the inside and will even push the refrigerator door open. I used the new plate it came with and still experiencing the same issue.

Purchased 2 months ago, although I always have it set for cubes, it normally dispenses more crushed ice than cubes. Due to living in a hot climate we use a lot of ice, jams are becoming common. Having to pull the bucket and empty it almost every time. Update after trying several things suggested by the seller, the problem was still unresolved, ordered a replacement under warranty. Found when doing a side by side comparison with both being upside down door on the 1st one didn't open fully. The replacement works great, I can now use the ice dispenser without any problems.

Fits my Samsung freezer. Our ice machine broke, this new piece arrived quickly, was easy to install and makes large amounts of ice for my large family.
