Great bags! Probably the best of compostable bags.
This is probably the best compostable bag I’ve ever used. Unlike other compostable bags I’ve tried, this one doesn’t fall apart the second it gets wet. It actually holds up pretty well, which is a big deal when you’re dealing with compost, where things can get a little messy. I’ve had bags in the past that just disintegrate as soon as moisture hits them, so it’s nice to find one that doesn’t have that problem. That being said, it’s not completely waterproof. If you’re putting wet compost in it, you will see some liquids seep through, so it’s not the best option for anything that’s too soggy. However, the bag itself doesn’t break down or fall apart, which is what really sets it apart from the competition. It’s still going to do its job without falling apart the moment you remove it from your compost bin. So, while it’s not perfect, this bag is definitely worth getting. If you’re looking for a compostable option that actually holds up and doesn’t disintegrate at the first sign of moisture, this is your best bet. It’s durable enough for everyday composting tasks, and that alone makes it a solid choice.

Worth the money
This was a reorder. While in my experience other compostible trashbags start falling apart in the trashcan , these are thicker and hold up well.

No leaks!
We have been using these for more than a year and have had maybe one bag that leaked. I am impressed with these and hope they truly are compostable so I can feel a bit better about having to put things in the trash. We compost most food here so there is not that much wet/moist food that is put in these bags usually but even when we have had that, the bags have held up. They are easy to open, have no scent and seem to be one of the better values when you do the math. They are also unusually thick compared to their plastic counterparts - which I like.

Biodegradable, but don't be rough
For the most part these bags hold my family's trash for a full week(4-5 ppl). Depending on what's thrown out, sometimes I have found some wetness outside of the bag and if it has too much weight, the handles will tear. Biggest problem was after getting down to the last bags (bought two boxes that lasted since dec 2020), they would tear easily just being removed from the box- lost a total of 2 bags that way. I'm guessing people having problems roughly throw objects in the trash that shouldn't be anyway- it's not meant for liquid- that's what your sink is for, it's not meant for cardboard- recycle that, food waste should be composted if you have that option, and if your trash is that heavy the problem is more likely people not changing their waste and purchasing habits. Using biodegradable bags don't help relieve your plastics guilt if you don't reduce buying that in every other part of your life.

Great compostable trash bags!
LOVE these!!! I have tried many compostable trash bags, and these by far are the best. They are durable and strong. I highly recommend!

Love these! But depends on what you're using them for.
I LOVE these bags, I buy them specifically for pet waste bags. I have 9 guinea pigs and strictly use these bags for their poopies, extra hay, pellets, etc. So, it's all natural and biodegradable waste. And I felt awful putting all of this natural waste into giant plastic bags. I bought these and feel amazing about not polluting the planet with more nasty plastic just to throw away a biodegradable substance. For my purpose they work phenomenally because I don't overstuff them and I'm not putting anything wet in them so they stay in tact. I did force my fiance to use these as kitchen trash liners for a while, but he hated them because they can rip if you're not gentle with them. (And he wasn't) Personally, I didn't have an issue with them when I was using them as kitchen trash liners. You just can't manhandle them or throw anything sharp in there or it will lead to a mess. Regardless, I would recommend these bags for everything! The only issue being is that they're more expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion for guilt-free conscience.

The Rolls-Royce of compost bags!
Why did it take me so long to find this product! I love the tie to close the bag, the DARK green instead of the aweful light green every other vendor uses. The bag fits the counter compost metal containers exactly. And MOST importantly, the bag is actually strong. Every other bag of this size I have bought tears even as one is trying to open the bag. I actually tried to push my finger through the material and was not successful. This is a great find.

Hole-y
These tear super easily. I always need to use an extra bag to get these to the trash without the bag disintegrating

They are great for their intended purpose. They are only meant to hold shredded paper or compostable food products. Therefore, they are not very durable or sturdy but I don’t believe compost bags are intended to be that. We purchased them as our city now want all shredded paper put in compost bags. We found the ones that you can buy from local stores and Costco too small for this purpose. I am very happy with the product I received.

Much better than the bags provided by the authority which split and are quite small.

I bought these because our city does not allow plastic bin liners (even compostable ones) and this one said in big words " I am not plastic " as it says its a 100% plant-based bag and because it had that in big words I figured awesome, the city will know easy that it's not plastic. But they arrived today and the printing has definitely changed, the bag now just has everything below the " I am not plastic" but not that part. It also at the bottom has a warning about leaving this plastic bag with kids. So now I am wondering if they changed the formula from 100% plant to containing some compostable plastic? Unsure but have asked for a return as I can't use compostable plastics :( really thought these were going to be the answer to a non compostable plastic bin liner. Other than that issue I didn't actually use the product, but it felt nice and strong, and had no odor I could sense.

These are really strong and an absolute pleasure to use in our kitchen bins. Everything is mostly composted or recycled so no very heavy refuse going in. No leaks or tears - just have to be gently pulling them over the edges of the bin. Most importantly, no microplastics and hoping they totally biodegrade and no nasties killing off our wildlife etc. Yay! I rarely leave reviews, but had to as they are so fab. After being left saddened with the large plastic (Brabantia) or pretend eco versions (Ecozone) bin bags, I was delighted to find these and this size works just fine and having been taking them out every 2-3 days.

We have been looking for a compostable-bag that was the right size for our built-in receptable in our kitchen. The lined paper bags we had were either too small or way too big. This size was the perfect fit. In general, they have been pretty durable. However, one does have to be careful if the contents are heavy or if they are particularly wet. In these circumstances, we have had to resort to double bagging to prevent having it all over the floor when putting it out.
