Best tool for the job
Best tool for the job. I've worked in the marine business for over 40 years. I've broken almost every tool out there for removing the end caps and usually have to resort to an impact gun. After breaking my most recent Yamaha and then Snap-On tool I took the plunge and bought this set.I had 2 salt water engines to reseal, a '06 and a '07 Yamaha 115. Used this set and a cheater bar on a 1/2" breaker bar and all six of the end caps unscrewed easily! Boy was I surprised.Called a few friends in the business and let them know I finally have a tool that actually works.I would recommend this tool to anyone. You do have to make sure the pins are fully engaged in the end cap. Then just pull a bit.It isn't a cheap tool in construction or price but you are getting what you pay for. In my shop time is money, if I can get an end cap off in under 5 minutes it has paid for itself. If you are not a trained tech one work of advise, support the engine properly and release all pressure with the manual relief valve!

Outstanding Tool Set
You get what you pay for. In this case, it's exactly what you'd need to service tilt/trim units and steering cylinders. Already replaced a Honda 90 and a Yamaha 250 trim seals. Work perfectly. Excellent grip on the caps without any damage to the surface of the caps or the rods. This are "Sanp-On" quality. Would definitely recommend.

Worth the money
I was kind of put off by the price but I needed to get some trim units fixed and the Yamaha tool was back ordered till who knows when . These came and I put them to immediate use . The quality shines , even with a 2' pipe on a breaker bar ( stubborn one ) the tool hung on and never slipped . As a marine mechanic with over 35 years experience i say these tools are worth the money !

Well made and priced accordingly
Probably one of the better after-market wrenches for this application, but I wish the pins were either stronger or less brittle. You get a spare set of pins, and if you are dealing with a 15 year old salt water motor, you are going to need them.

Great product, but way over priced
works the way it should. It is a must for do it yourself. Don't try any short cut shown on You Tube. Nine out of ten times you going to create much expensive problem because you are working on something that has been soaking in water for years. Salt water makes it worst. But I hate the manufacturer price gouging on this nice tool. Hope snap-on-tools or even Harbor Freight can come up something like this for much lower price.
