I love this screen it works fine with my camera, you can also change settings on the fly if you need to, and the battery life is good for me about 5-6 hours, the screen is very clear with no issues that I can think of.

As a rule, I'm a fan of the Newer brand of items, and the Neewer FW600 5.5-Inch Touch Screen Camera Field Monitor is no exception. For me, it has just the right amount of tech to be useful without being too overly complicated or providing so many extras that are unlikely to be used. My only gripe, and it's not a deal breaker is the "L" shaped mounting bracket that the monitor comes bundled with. The bracket works as designed, and works well but due to the design of the bracket mounting on the monitor, the only bracket you can use is the one bundled with the kit. I've managed to find a third party bracket that fits to the monitor without compromising the viewing angle or the amount of screen seen. This issue causes a should you want to mount the monitor to anything else other than a camera. Other than that small issue, I'm happy with the purchase.

This was my first ever external monitor for a camera, so I don't have anything to compare it with. I can tell you that the image quality is superb and sharp. It supports 4k input which is great, it has a touch screen and you can also upload LUTs via a USB memory stick. Would have been nice to include a battery, but I had spare at home which I use for my slider too. Overall it's great value for money, really easy to install and great image quality, which is perfect to see what's in focus! It's so much easier now :)

Got it for my GH5, the L mount did not fit my GH5 or G9 or even a Zv1. Either it's a faulty batch I got or something has changed. Ended up returning it

Tenía algunas dudas acerca de comprar este monitor u otro y la verdad es que ha sido un aciertazo. Apenas pesa y, aunque al principio he pensado que no sería de buena calidad, luego me he alegrado del poco peso porque así no me canso tanto cuando voy a cámara en mano, y al probarlo he comprobado que la calidad del monitor es excelente. Tiene una definición sorprendente para lo pequeño que es. Tiene de todo en los menús: false color y waveform (que me salvan la vida), histograma, vectorscopio, picking, zebra, flip de monitor, atajos de botones, etc. Pero lo que más me ha sorprendido es la definición de imagen, el sharp, foco... genial. El false color me salva la vida, es una maravilla fundamental para exponer!! Si tuviera que ponerle un pero, sería el de poner el accesorio del micrófono en el lado derecho del monitor en vez del derecho... ahora el cable del micrófono pasa por en medio de la pantalla y he tenido que inventar una solución algo cutre para que esto no me pase.

This monitor completes my rig! I can't believe how much a difference having a monitor works when self-filming. The screen is large but comparing to some of the other competitors, this is probably the most thin, lightest and compact in the 5.5 inch class. I really like how small the bezels are. The monitor has some really awesome pro features like histogram and audio levels so you can ensure your shots are never under/over exposed. The screen is bright enough for daylight use but it also includes a shade. Viewings are angle excellent. The included flexible mount is made of steel and very sturdy, making it easy to switch viewing angles. All in all, I have to say that I'm quite happy. I only wish they included a case for the monitor!

So let’s set the record straight, H image flip literally flips your histogram to the other side when having V image flip on at the same time…etc so never mind read any value (see pic). A bit annoying but would be too much to ask when spending 140 € on a external monitor. Anyways, be aware that the screen gets very warm but lower your backlight when shooting inside. Also, there is only one 1/4” mounting point on the side. Have it on small rig magic arm 9.5” and magic mount clamp mount 1138. Firmware running is 201206 which should be the latest (?). Neewer website has older i think. You’ll be surprised that the screen is sharp and you get everything you need for modern cameras except battery or dc power so buy a 12 V DC 1A to power it up for 10 € or so. Or skip the DC power and get a couple of beefy F970 Sony batteries or F550. With battery attached you could either charge your Camera dummy battery from DC out and/or anything like your phone from micro usb port. Overall, decent for what you pay. However, if you want step it up then Andycine 4k A6 plus V2 is the next level up then atomos shinobi before ninja v and beyond. Hope this helps.

So there is a lot to say about this little guy. The video goes over most of it, but ill reiterate it here. When you get a field monitor, there are really 2 options. Go with the lower end $100-$200 range, or bump to the nearly 1k range. Since this is mainly used for a gimbal, I just wanted it to be a monitor and nothing more. Honestly, Im beyond happy with this. So lets dive in. Pro's: * Lightweight and easy to travel with * Easy on, just plug in and go * on screen focus with touchscreen * Hdmi in and out, so if you wanted to record the hdmi to a small recorder you can. * Comes with cold shoe mount. * Cold shoe mount on the side Cons * Only 1 1/4" mount on the side, i really wish there was one on the bottom for diff mounting options. * HDMI cable with it is straight, i wish it had a bungee, but you can buy separate. Overall the monitor is great for the price and purpose. Dont expect it to compare to a $1000 monitor, but it also doesnt carry the same price tag.

Volendo utilizzare la funzione S-Log con la mia Sony a6500, ho deciso di acquistare uno schermo dedicato in modo da poter valutare facilmente l'effetto finale delle riprese e per la comodità che questo riesce a dare quando ci si trova in posizioni scomode come il rasoterra o con staffa dall'alto che non permettono di visualizzare lo schermo della camera. Altro comodo utilizzo è per fare i famosi VLOG o le riprese da YouTuber dove la camera punta se stessi e con lo schermo si può controllare l'inquadratura ed i vari settaggio. Ho scelto questo modello per alcuni motivi specifici, il numero elevato di funzioni e settaggi, ma anche per la predisposizione al 4K, la funzione touch (per la quale è iper-reattivo) che permette di modificare i parametri velocemente e soprattutto per la leggerezza di soli 158gr che non si accusano minimamente. Tra le altre funzioni che ritengo "fondamentali" per uno schermo da videomaker, abbiamo per l'esposizione: - La funzione "Zebra Pattern" che mostra le righe oblique per l'esposizione alla luce; - La "False Color" per falsare i colori in modo da utilizzarli in base alle diverse tonalità; - "histogram"/"waveform"/"vectorscope"/"HDR" per avere a schermo le impostazioni di visuale legate all'esposizione. In Focus e Composition abbiamo funzioni come: - Peaking che mostra i punti a fuoco; - Safe area per impostare un rettangolo di area ritaglio eventuale; - Grid Lines per le varie griglie; - Audio meters; Lo schermo ha varie impostazioni come: - Aspect ratio per impostare parametri di base; - Zoom; - Display Flip per la rotazione; - Battery notification; Ma soprattutto le impostazioni animorphic per la visuale tipo cinema es. x1.33. Il sistema può essere ulteriormente modificato nei colori, temperatura, luminosità, suono e altre impostazioni più "comuni" Ultimo non per importanza la possibilità di impostare LUT che si inseriscono comodamente con cavo in dotazione e chiavetta USB e si scaricano direttamente sul dispositivo. La grandezza è di 5,5" tipo IPS con una risoluzione di 403ppi a 1080p (il 4k è supportato ma in downscaling) che permette di vedere le immagini in modo estremamente nitido con buona luminosità e senza riflessi, all'interno in dotazione anche il supporto con il paraluce che si monta a strappo e si incastra perfettamente allo schermo in modo molto facile sia a spinta che a scivolamento dall'alto (non possibile se montata la staffa di supporto). Con il paraluce e la staffa di supporto si può posizionare sopra la fotocamera nella slitta flash. All'interno della chiavetta USB troviamo delle LUTs già presenti come Cinelike D, Cinelike V, Log Conversions, Natural, Portrait, VLogL, White Balance, ma è ovviamente possibile inserire tutte quelle desiderate fino alla capienza dei 256mb forniti, oppure passare semplicemente ad un'altra chiavetta USB (sono tutte valide). Le batterie purtroppo non sono incluse ma si trovano a prezzo molto basso anche della stessa marca e devo dire che sono valide anche se ovviamente fanno aumentare il peso dello schermo che resta comunque non eccessivo. Lateralmente ci sono i vari connettori HDMI in e out, DC in e out, usb, e 3.5mm Jack cuffie. Nel video allegato si può vedere la qualità video e del touchscreen (quando sembra non risponda perfettamente è colpa mia che mentre riprendo tocco male lo schermo) i riflessi non sono presenti, sia indoor che outdoor anche se con la fotocamera del telefono sembra che ci sia qualcosa, garantisco che non soffre di questo problema. Allegata anche pellicola protettiva già applicata sullo schermo. Il collegamento con la fotocamera è avvenuto immediatamente tramite il cavo fornito in dotazione senza alcuna impostazione da selezionare (nel mio caso Sony). Nel complesso un ottimo prodotto ad un prezzo molto contenuto per la qualità e soprattutto poiché essendo un prodotto per fotografia professionale, chi del mestiere sa che l'attrezzatura solitamente costa molto di più.
