Bought these two and a half years ago, and they're the only pair of nail clippers that can get through thick, nail fungus eaten through toenails. The handles aren't as squishy as I would like, as my household suffers from arthritis, but the fact that they go through even the toughest nails like nothing more than makes up for it. The little scraper tool that came with it was quite handy, too.

These clippers are great! They are very sharp, so when not in use, place the plastic guard on them that come with them. Very easy to use, simply fold over one of the springs towards the cutters, and you are ready to go. And, wow, do they ever cut through thick toenails with ease! I read one bad review on how they do not come with instructions...I find that to be disingenuous. You don't need instructions, I figured it out within seconds of opening it, and so can you. Yes, they come with two (2) springs, but like they advertise, one is a spare if in case the other one for some reason breaks. I also like the fact that it is made in Israel, as evidenced by the Magen David symbol, and not the usual Chinese made garbage so prevalent on Amazon now. Five (5) stars on everything aspect of this product.

These toenail clippers set a new record. I didn't even get inside my front door with them before they broke and proved useless. ---------- I walked back from the mailbox unpacking them, put the packaging in the bin, and tested them out. Immediately, the folding wires that provide the tension when they are squeezed popped out of place. I pushed the wire back into its slot and tried again. Same thing. The folding tension wires on these clippers are a major and fatal design flaw. They're not strong enough. They're not held in place by anything. And they fail at the earliest opportunity. God knows how this product got the ratings it did. I was totally fooled by the high star rating. Don't let the same thing happen to you.
