They work good only with a plastic spare gear.

Great with plastic, that's it
They work great with stock slash 4x4 spur on slipper and center diff. Do not use with robinson racing steel spur gear. Robinson racing uses a much harder steel. I have watched every one of the pinions in the set loose pieces of teeth every run. My 21 has hardly no teeth left. I got 2 4s packs through it, my spur doesn't even show any wear at all. Not even discoloring.
