Epson WorkForce WF-7830 All-in-One Wireless Colour Printer with Scanner, Copier, Fax, Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct and ADF

This is an excellent printer. Fast, capable of handling sizes up to and including a3. The automatic document feeder is wonderful and copes very well with double sided print. The printer inks are easy to change with a wide variety of replica and original inks available. The borderless print mode makes letters and other important documents look professional. The dual side printing mode eliminates the guesswork of enduring printing only odd on one side and then even on the other and worrying about correct orientation it simply prints on one side then takes the page back in and prints on the other side. The instructions were a little vague and might not be suitable for a first time printer owner or those who are technophobic. The paper trays can accommodate a large stack of paper meaning fewer changes needed and the output tray is simply superb as it automatically slides out to the right length for the paper used. I've used a lot of printers and this is my new favourite.

Really pleased with it so far. Prints quickly and nice quality. And the build quality feels nicely put together. setup was straight forward although it's not that quick if you never had a Epson printer before like me. The two separate trays for the paper is very handy, when you need to change between paper sizes frequently.

I researched a number of printers before choosing this one, but am pleased with my purchase. It's big & heavy, so be sure you have a suitable location for it. My experience so far has been good. It is well packaged, but easy to remove from the box with the container bag. Setup was straightforward, it takes you through step by step. It is a complex device with many features, but you can get printing without knowing too much detail. It's not clear, but A3 paper goes in the botton tray which extends & on which the cover fits. A4 paper ( or other sizes) goes in the tray above. It prints quickly, even two sided copies. Some of the features need time to get the hang of, but scanning is a breeze once the scan feature is set up on the connected PC. The manual runs to 990 pages, but the online version allows search by topic which speeds thing up. I subscribed to the Ready Print ink service which works well & seems good value for money. I wanted the ability to scan & print A3 size. Don't buy this model unless that is your requirement - there are similar A4 only models you can choose. Overall verdict: a complex beast but a great machine.

The printer was delivered next day, by a courier who handled it well. The set up was simple and took less than 20 minutes. My laptop connected to the printer via wireless connection with no issues. The purchase includes a full set of ink, which ensured we could start using it immediately. The printing speed is fast and each paper tray can hold either A4 or A3 paper. The interface is simple to use, and the inks are easy to change out. The scan functions through the flat bed and great. The feeding method sometimes pulls more than one piece of paper through at a time, however the paper sent through is used and crumpled so could affect the printer's performance. For the price in comparison to the same standard on the market, I'd highly recommend this printer.

Overall impressed with product. My only niggles are why the pop out print tray doesn’t auto pop back in once printing complete or when machine powers off. Leaves if sticking out in the room which isn’t just annoying but a bit dangerous with kids at its eye level walking around. Quick set up Quick install Lots of print options Happy so far

Had a bad experience with this purchase. I shopped around for the best current home printer with the spec I needed and went for this Epson model. Firstly the package arrived damaged - not a huge issue usually as that's what the foam inside is for. This was also damaged. The Printer was fine until i needed to use it as a printer. I connected it to my WIFI network no problem but when it came to connecting my mac to the printer (on the same WIFI network) There was an error. I contacted customer support who were actually very polite and helpful and gave me some instructions to follow, which I did. 13 times. To the letter, but with no success. Meanwhile I had signed up for the ReadyPrint service they would not be able to send me replacement ink. Didn't stop them from taking the payment though...funny that. Eventually was able to call the customer helpline - who again were polite and helpful - but unable to solve the problem. It does look like this is not a common problem but be aware that this printer is not plug and print and the set up process that comes with the printer is not the process they give you via the helpline, indicating that this is a known issue. I have asked for a refund and have returned the product

Arrived much quicker than expected, good communication from courier about arrival time. Also works as described. Perfect for small businesses or artists. Brilliant print quality!

I'm almost afraid to jinx things by writing about this but (touch wood) no problems so far after 5 months of standard office use. I needed a new printer because the new 64 bit MacOS wouldn't support 32 bit drivers, and I couldn't get a 64 bit driver for my old Brother printer. None of the new Brother's got great reviews, and this Epson was a Which Best Buy, so I switched brands. I did find that buying ink with a longer delivery time was MUCH cheaper, so planning ahead is worthwhile. Quality is good, both printing and scanning. Paper handling, including double-sided, has caused no problems and it's also stable on the wi-fi. Beware, it is a heavy unit - not a 2-person lift, but definitely substantial. No regrets... so far!
