not surprised about the good quality!
Update 08/31/2023: Well, after over a lil bit a year, i've been experiencing some disconnecting issues from either side of the earphones, but coincidentally, it only happens in the subway, i presume that there might be some similar frequencies lying around?... at most, it happens a couple of times in a day, annoying but passable... but this may not be because of the earphones, it may be my phone as well (Samsung A53... DON'T BUY IT!). BUT, moving on o the positive side: subway is a really loud place and these guys helped quite a bit into diminishing the amount of noise... like 90%, i love it! i mean, when you take them off you really feel your eardrums getting the full sound of the subway and the wheel screeching... oh my god i wouldn't be able to live without these!... if you run out of battery on your phone, rest assure that AT LEAST you'll have noise cancelling and have a smooth commute because the older you get, the quieter things must be hahahaah. I'm really hoping to buy the new Elite 10 so i can give you my thoughts and this process again... it's quite important to have an unbiased opinion from a guy who really have a delicate ear and also audiophile... speaking of which, this may not be perfect for audiophiles because mid-lo's are kinda absent and eq'ing it it's quite annoying... everything else, i stand on every other review i posted previously. Thank you! Update 12/06/2022: I just wanna say, battery is a champ! in both case and earpieces... awesome! Sound isolation could be a potential lack of attention to other stuff or situations, if people call you from afar (even if they're only in the other room) you wouldn't be able to hear it... children tantrums, dog's barking, other people talking, backgrouns noise from the street (whether you are on the street or nearby within a building), all these situations makes the earpieces a champ! it seriously diminishes the amount of ambient noise, you don't even have to put the music loud... and if you're not using it, you can use it to walk through the street in peace, sometimes one needs to do that... if you hear background noise it would only be like 5 or 10% tops... for the quality of sound, if someone tells me "it sounds too -insert adjective" let me tell you this: you need to EQ it for some genres... I can't thank enough to Jabra for doing such a good job with this product! However, just remember to check the battery life, it FINALLY happened that i was low in charge in the case (but thank god the earpieces were 100%!)... i'm happy, that's it! it's amazing how a simple thing can change you. Update 06/10/2022: Me again... well, it happened again! (it's becoming a tradition xD )... for 2 straight weeks i haven't charged the case (because i forgot!) and my question is: WHY this thing last so long? it's kinda "awkward" because i'm not use to things last in terms of battery life!... send help! xD but for real now, i didn't expect to have 52% on battery on the case and 100% on the earpieces! I saw some new reviews again, and seriously, how is it possible that they receive (potentially) defective devices? (if you can call it that)... i'm presuming that they're operating it in the wrong way (i guess?). Oh and i almost forgot: i started using it more on android with a Samsung A53 5G... weirdly enough, the sound quality improved! middle-lows and middle-highs are more noticeable and balanced for me! Well i also gotta admit that i used my airpods on my iphone kinda regularly because as you everyone knows (even better than me) that is HARD to move from one phone to another (including personal data, banking, etc.) specially if both phones are from different OSes.... Anywho anyhow... the point of this update is: WOW! get it NOW!... with every track it feels warm and cozy. i love it! ORIGINAL: Well, my journey with Jabra started with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FVNHBI this one that i bought back in 2011, they lasted 3 or 4 years until one of the earpiece sides broke because of too much sweat? i don't know but i regret the day i couldn't use it anymore because it had such a good sound that made me feel that i was at a nightclub... Then i found these little guys and to be completely honest i was kinda hesitant to buy it then i've got it... all fear were gone in a matter of minutes! i've downloaded the app for android and iphone to test it on both and man... just beyond everything i've expected! Battery, sound, isolation... it's everything i've ever wanted on a headset! i mean, it doesn't fit in my mind how it's possible that such a good product can be on this price range! I've read some of the 1 and 3 star reviews and i haven't had a single issue with them.... when i first paired them to my devices i couldn't get them to work both sides but then i put it on the case and take them out at the same time and problem solved!... People just hear me normally on calls, i hear them well as well... ambient isolation is SO GOOD that it reaches 98%, meaning that u hear the world almost nothing when u're listening music, and you don't need it to be too loud. I don't have it too loud because i've EQ'd the headset with the app and man... they're the best i've got! (apple airpods pro and regular ones are nothing next to these! i even regret not having knowledge of the existence of this item earlier). So far i haven't found any single bad thing on it yet... as a matter of fact, last week i went to a long trip and i seriously forgot to charge the case and i felt truly sad because i forgot it XD but then i've opened the case and i saw the yellow light and when i've opened the app it showed 38% on the case and the earpieces 100%... imagine how my face lightened up! it truly made my trip... people really need to follow up instructions.... and don't forget to download the app!

Worth a look but still Room for improvement
I’ve been waiting a couple months to give these a try before sharing a review, but I can honestly say that I am impressed. After trying some other brands that hurt my ears so bad I returned them, these Jabra Elite 85t are comfortable enough to stay in place all day, provided you can keep the battery charged. With moderate activity I can feel them start to slip out of my ear, so they are probably not the pair you want to take running. The noise cancellation (ANC) and HearThrough modes are novel features, but honestly I don’t spend the time switching through them and rather keep them off to conserve the battery. What I want is a hearing aid that can amplify the ambient sound around me, but also let me hear the audio from all my devices or act like ear plugs. There is not that much amplification from the HearThrough mode unless there is nothing else playing through the speakers and you are right in front of the source you are trying to hear. ANC works to dull the sound around you if the speakers are muted, but with music playing there’s not much difference since the volume drowns out any other noise. The battery life is somewhere in the 5-7 range, but be warned that the last hour you will be interrupted every 15 minutes that the buds need to be recharged. It hasn’t been a problem to find time to return them to the case at some point during the day, but expect to plan your day around charging at least once in the middle. Having a wireless charging pad has made charging effortless. Now for the pet peeves that are just a fact of life with these buds. The right bud is the primary bud and in fact, the left bud can not be used without using both buds. You might think you can get five hours out of one ear and then switch to the other ear for another five hours, but that is not the case. This may not affect you, but seems like an odd feature. The next peeve deals with pairing and connectivity. You might have read some reviews that discuss issues with connectivity, but you should know that Bluetooth pairing has been a straightforward easy experience to get up and running out of the box. My issue is that the specification states that the buds can be paired with up to 8 devices, but only 2 at any given time. I haven’t tried that many since after 3 devices I could tell it was going to be confusing to figure out which device they are connected with. If the buds are connected to 2 devices and you want to use them with a third, you must first manually disconnect or turn off Bluetooth on one of those first two devices before the buds will connect to the third. You may think this is a connectivity error but really they will only do what you tell them and they will prefer to connect to the last connected devices. Once you are connected to two devices, because you can only connect to two devices, you might think the buds have sort of a built in mixer where you can hear audio from both sources at the same time. Again, don’t be disappointed, but only one device can actively be sending an audio signal to the buds. You can not have music playing on one device and watch a movie on the other. You must stop all audio transmissions from one device before it will allow the second audio to play on the buds. Both devices are connected, but only audio from one device can be played at a time. This seemed to not affect in coming calls ringing from a phone though. I believe the makes the phone take priority of the audio stream. This might actually be a limitation of the Bluetooth protocol, but again different than I expected. Well, there you have it! These are the top issues I’ve found with these buds, but I’m still happy with them enough to use everyday. Also, no problems with sound quality and the full range is good enough for casual listeners.

Comprehensive Jabra Products Review
So I have used Jabra headphones for over 4 years now and I was really impressed by the Elite Active 75t's when they came out. Since then, I haven't found quite a comprehensive Jabra product that since can compete with those. Long story short - the Elite Active 7's are a close match but I would still consider the Elite Active 75t's the gold standard of Jabra earbuds. I am a bass junkie, so my reviews are largely based on how well the headphones can handle bass and music quality. I use the Sound+ app to adjust my sound curve to be bass heavy (all the way up), mid below default, and treble moderate. ELITE ACTIVE 75t - 5 Stars As stated above, these headphones I consider to be the gold standard of Jabra earbuds. The case feels sturdy and of high quality, however the one downside is the earbuds don't always turn off when they are put back in - possible magnet/metal to metal connection issue with these. The noise cancelling and hear through modes are pretty good considering the age of these headphones. The sound quality - *chef's kiss* I use these headphones for everything (except on an airplane I use my Sony WH-1000XM4's). The bass is very deep and these work great for many different genre's. The ANC and hear through are pretty reasonable considering these came out in the late 2010's. For calls I have not had issues with sound. Charging and battery life - I probably get 6.5 hours on a single charge (using ANC and music) and the case can probably handle another 8ish hours. Overall - if you can get these new at a discounted price, these are the way to go. ELITE 7 ACTIVE (and Elite 7 Pro; maybe now Elite 8?) - 4 stars, would only buy on sale (bought for $80 on a prime deal day) These are the closest I've found in quality to the 75t's. When using the Sound+ app, you can't turn the bass up all the way or else songs like "Intimidated (ft. H.E.R.)" by KAYTRANADA really sound like they are blowing out the speakers. The case is nice and I think solves the connection/turn off issue I mentioned with the 75t's. A HUGE WARNING: If you want to change the earbud silicone/rubber tips that go into your ears - be extremely careful. I ripped mine very easily trying to change to the next size up. It's like they are stuck or molded onto the earbuds lol. Battery life is as advertised. ANC is pretty good (better than the 75t's). The hear through does have some issues where it seems like every few minutes or so it'll quickly toggle on/off for 0.5-1 second to possibly recalibrate? This seems to be common with the newer generation Jabra's. ELITE 3 - 5 Stars, great budget option I use these at my home office and as a backup when I travel (in case I forget to pack my 75t's). These are a really great budget/affordable option Jabra if you don't care as much about noise cancelling. These have really good sound quality. The battery life is exactly as advertised, and the hear through mode is pretty good for headphones that are around $50. The case and headphones do feel a little cheap compared to the 7's and 75t's, but generally I would still say these headphones are great affordable options if you don't need noise cancelling. Naturally, they have pretty good noise cancelling just based on the design. ELITE 4 (maybe now Elite 5?) - 4 stars These are pretty good, similar sound quality to the 3's. I'd say either step up to the 7's or step down to the 3's. I know Jabra is changing up their lineup, so maybe these are now the only option in the $50-$100 range? ELITE 10 (Dolby Atmos) - 3 stars, based on price; if cheaper maybe would get more stars I was not impressed by the sound quality of these based on how much I paid for them. I think the problem is, a lot of my music is already in the Dolby Atmos format (Apple Music), and a lot of the features seem to be geared towards Spotify (doesn't have Dolby Atmos music). I'm thinking maybe Jabra needs to work on either the drivers or the software to get the Dolby Atmos just right. The problem is (regardless of EQ settings), many songs it seems like they overdue the echo feature which makes certain noises sound really bad. I noticed it's a specific "thump" like you hear in songs like "Tie That Binds" by Drake, "Heart Skipped a Beat" by The XX, or "ONE TOO MANY" by KAYTRANADA it literally sounds like they replaced certain sounds with someone walking on a hard floor with heels and just turned the echo up super high. With the Dolby Atmos turned off, that totally also defeats the purpose of the headphones. I would say these headphones are designed for if you stream your music through Spotify or don't mind certain thump sounds getting warped. Other headphones with Dolby Atmos like the LG Tonefree T90's or AirPods don't do this to these kinds of songs. Head tracking was accurate though. ELITE 85t - 2-3 stars Long story short, these seem cheaper and have a worse sound quality than the 75t's. Just get the 75t's or the 7's.

Truly miserable call quality
Let me preface this by saying I have both this model AND the predecessor to this model - the Jabra Elite Active 75t. I also have upgraded the firmware on this Elite 7 Pro to the absolute latest version as well as I'm using the latest best Android phone available the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (also with up-to-date software). Before looking into this product, I, like many reviewers, was pleased to hear from (sponsored) YouTube channels that the microphone/call quality on this was "best in class" or significantly improved. Since this was a big issue with my previous Jabra headphones, I decided to splurge and buy this product. I'll review a few things about this product independently, and finish with the worst part - the microphone. Sound quality (not call quality -- that's below): It's good. These don't sound any better than the Jabra Elite Active 75ts, and in fact they might sound a little worse on the low-end. If you're not familiar with the other Jabra product, at least it's worth noting that this is still a good sounding headphone. I use them in the gym for some intense workouts and I do enjoy the sound. The in-ear fit is great for me. I was, however, expecting a sound improvement over their previous version, and unfortunately, they didn't deliver. All in all, it's a great sound, but you can save a lot of money by going with the previous version of the Jabra in the Elite Active 75t. Form factor: I quite love the form factor. It's the smallest and most seamless true-wireless bud I've found. I don't think anything on the market right now rivals the form factor of the Elite 7 pro. It might have sacrificed a little of the sound depth in order to improve on the form-factor at this stage in the technology game, and I guess that's a fair tradeoff. The gold-beige color also blends quite nice with my skin tone and they become far less noticeable, which I think is a nice plus. Noise Cancellation: It is truly almost non-existent. When calibrating the noise-cancellation using the Jabra Sound+ app, I was almost convinced it wasn't working on any setting because the difference was so discreet. The buds do fit nicely in my ear so that produces what's called "passive noise cancellation", and it's as good as any other in-ear headphones, but the Active Noise Cancellation is extremely underwhelming. If you're looking for ANC, look elsewhere. Sorry. If you have the older model, the Jabra Elite Active 75ts, ironically I believe they produce better Noise Cancellation than the Jabra Elite 7 pros. Battery Life: It's quite good and the specs check out. I use them oftentimes at night for falling asleep to a podcast and having great battery life is a big plus, especially in such a small form-factor. Multipoint: I have the latest Firmware and Jabra recently released "Multipoint" connectivity, so the buds can now pair with multiple devices, which is great. This works, and I haven't had any persistent issues with it. Being able to use either the Left or Right earbud independently is also a great plus. Mic/Call Quality: Here's the most egregious reason for my 1-star review. Immediately on placing my first call, I was hit with negative feedback from my call recipient. I've called multiple people in multiple scenarios and hit with a universal understanding that the ambient noise is oftentimes louder than my actual voice, even in relatively quiet environments. I have a very normal toned male voice, so there's nothing wrong with Jabra not picking up my voice. I've made calls from a wide range of locations - my office, my car, the grocery store, walking along the street, etc. Even in my office, where there is nothing but a fan (8 feet away) and the sound of me typing, it was an unpleasant experience for the recipient. The hum of the fan was in no way reduced by what Jabra claims is dynamic ambient noise reduction. Zero percent. I've used WhatsApp and other apps to send voice notes so that I can replay the listener's experience for myself, and I can confirm that the ambient noise is absolutely brutal. Jabra claims to be using bone-conduction technology to sense when you're speaking and drown out ambient noise and it is certainly non-existent. I've spent literally hours performing the very tedious and time-consuming steps of resetting the buds and re-updating the firmware and there is no improvement whatsoever. I've done this three times. Based on the reviews of other users online; on Amazon, Reddit, WalMart etc, this is not an isolated issue. This is a huge problem. As mentioned prior, I also own the Jabra Elite Active 75ts, and they also have a terrible ambient noise problem, and I can confirm that the call quality has not improved a fraction on these Elite 7 Pros. Based on the complaints I have received from call recipients when using them, it is actually worse. Using my headphones to also take calls is an absolutely critical feature, and the Jabra Elite 7 Pros make this experience extremely painful at best. Overall: If form-factor is a big deal for you, as it was for me, then these offer a fantastic form-factor and good sound, with solid battery life. Using either the Left or Right bud independently is also a pleasant plus. If you are expecting to use these to field phone-calls of any kind in anything but a truly silent room, I overwhelmingly urge you not to buy these. Your call recipients will thank you for not choosing this product.

These are sick!! UPDATED
Right out of the box, these have no directions on how to pair them to a Bluetooth device. Only to download an app. The also does not inform you how to enable Bluetooth discovery mode. However, not being my grandmother I assumed like most Bluetooth devices, holding the button down for a few seconds would eventually cause a blue LED to blink. It worked. That is my only criticism of these earbuds. After fitting the correct sized plugs into the set, I was ready to test them out. Right away after pairing, I wanted to test the sound quality. I'm giving away my age, but I grew up testing the bass with 'Hoods Run Down' by Lil Wyte. THEY PASSED. Imagine my shock. To say I was impressed was an understatement. The last note in the song intro is super low, and the diaphragm in these earbuds was playing it! Holy crap! But what about sound quality? I played ultra HD songs in Dolby Atmos. They were not the loudest I ever owned. But to be honest the loud ones were great because they drown out external sounds. These go about it a different way, correct? Negative negated. How about call quality? I called 3 friends and my dad. They said I sounded great. They could hear a little background noise, but even in strong winds, my voice was loudest. I will say that if you dislike the sound of your voice on a recording, when you speak on a call you will hear this voice as well as your own. This is great for me because I can micromanage my inflections in my voice. So far these are great!! I turned on ANC (active noise cancellation) and said hi to the cat. I could not hear him. I turned on pass-through mode mode knocked on the door with music playing. I could hear it like I didn't have headphones in. I giggled with delight. This is great! I immediately went to the gym. How well would these hold up? Perfect!!! The don't fall out, ANC is great for "hey are you using this?", but I will say I couldn't really hear anything outside of my world. I loved these so far. It's only been a day, but even then after the gym I stayed on the phone with a friend for a few hours before they finally said low battery in my ear. Anyway, would highly recommend. Update! After a month of use I would still rate these highly. They connect to multiple Bluetooth devices, namely my work laptop and cell phone at the same time. I can transfer calls from my laptop to my mobile device and go for a walk with seamless transfer. In the office, I can go some 50 meters from my laptop before the earbuds say "Device Disconnected". The range is great. The sound quality is great. The app features and my ability to set presets is a plus. They do not get uncomfortable, although I will admit I did not used to clean my ears multiple times a day for a good fit. I did notice that the app notification of the current battery level can get stuck from time to time. However my earbuds warn me of low battery at 25%. It takes 3 hours of talk time to get that low. My family says I sound better through the device. All in all I am very happy with my purchase, and will likely get a set for a friend for the holidays.

Some good things, some not so much
I’ve tried hard to work with these buds. I did a lot of research before buying and this one checked all the boxes that were important to me. But I keep encountering issues. Some of them minor, some deal-breakers. Maybe these hiccups will get better over time as they release firmware updates. Not sure I want to take that chance with $200 ear buds. I’ve still got a couple days before my return period expires … but I’ll likely and reluctantly return them. Pros > Multipoint. Love the dual connection. Switches between my PC and phone well. > Size. Fits and stays in my ears well. > Buttons. I like the real buttons. Light press is all it takes. > Either bud. Like the ability to use either bud on its own. When talking in a Teams meeting, I like using one bud only. Too much of my own voice if both are in. Use the right one for a while, then switch to the left. > Sound. • Very happy with the sound. • Phone call sound is good on both ends. Clear for me and I’ve asked the people I’m talking to how I sound, and they say clear. • Music sounds great. Cons > Microphone. • Noise cancellation doesn’t appear to work when attached to PC / Microsoft Teams. My home office is near my furnace. I recorded myself in PC Voice Recorder app with furnace running beside me. Could clearly hear the furnace as I talked over it. Then called my voice mail and left a message with the furnace running and the furnace sound was muffled / could barely hear it while I talked. Conclusion = works when on a phone call, doesn’t work when on my PC. (could maybe live with it if this was the only issue) • When using the buds on a PC in Microsoft Teams meeting, works fine for a while, then my voice becomes garbled / sounds like I’m talking underwater (as reported by others in the meeting). This happened multiple times. (deal breaker for me - reported it to Jabra Support - no response after 32 hours) > Phone calls disconnections. In the middle of a phone call, the buds disconnect briefly, then reconnect in a few seconds. This happened more than once. (deal breaker for me) > Battery. • I’m getting maybe 4 hours when ANC or Hear through is on. I can work around this for Teams meetings by using one bud at a time and alternating between left and right throughout the day. However, that won’t work for me if I’m working outside on weekends or on long hikes using both buds for music and pod casts. (could maybe work with this if this was the only issue) • Communication with app. App doesn’t consistently show the correct battery level when using one bud at a time. If I’m using the left ear bud, when battery level gets low, I get notification in my ear to “recharge now”, but app shows the bud is at 86%. I tried putting the left bud back in the case (the right one is already in there), then take the left bud back out again. The app still shows it at 86% and it still tells me to “recharge now”. Then I took the right bud out of the case (both now out) and then returned both to the case. Then I took the left one back out of the case - now the app shows it at 3%. (minor issue / annoyance) > In ear detection. Appears to announce that devices are connected before I get them in my ear. The message “connected” is already in progress by the time I get it in my ear. Supposed to detect when it gets in my ear, not when they’re removed from the case. (minor issue / annoyance)

Jabra 85t: Dorothy like
My Jabra 85t earbuds are really good. I was happy with Jabra 65t earbuds. The sound seemed fine. Problem was the charging case battery was starting to fade. I wondered how long it would have taken for the 65t earbud batteries to fade. It didn’t seem worthwhile to buy a new charging case. Also, the micro USB cable wouldn’t always connect correctly to the charging case; I’d plug it in and charging would not start and I’d have to disconnect/replug. I’ve had the 65t earbuds for a bit over 2 years. For 85t sound quality, I was delighted to have some music passages light up like color in the Wizard of Oz. I was not expecting that. I have no comparison base, but the active noise cancellation seems good. It’s really good for consistent noise like road roar. As I walked today, it made engine noise from passing gas cars sound like they were all Teslas. The ANC seemed less good for my dog barking in my car. The sound isolation of the 65t earbuds are likely better for that. I’ve already experienced some oddities with ANC. When I use my induction cooking hot plate and stand near it while it’s on, the ANC goes whacko with a WOW-WOW-WOW sound. I turned off the ANC and everything sounded fine. Also, the electromagnetics of my treadmill make my 85t earbuds nearly unusable. I didn’t try turning off the ANC, so I don’t know that I can accuse ANC. This was once an issue with my 65t earbuds, until a firmware update came along. Possibly a future firmware update will resolve this for the 85t earbuds. The shape and lack of texture combined with the magnetic case sockets make it a bit of a challenge to extract the earbuds from the case, especially with the cold dry weather we have now. I hadn’t realized the 85t earbuds were a bit larger until I looked in the mirror and noticed that they protruded from my ears a bit more. The medium tips fit nicely; better than the 65t earbuds. Phone call quality seems very good. Thanks to Jabra for the USB C charging case connector. I no longer have to puzzle over over which way to orient the plug in a dimly lit room. Also, the magnetic open/close charging case lid is very nice. I’ve almost learned that I don’t need as much muscle to open and close it as compared to my 65t earbuds case. The earbud button controls are fine. However, the press and hold to adjust volume is a bit tricky; I sometimes go too much or let go too soon and stop play rather than change volume – it‘s not a big deal. The updates required when they first came out of the case went smoothly. However, with the language update, the earbuds updated fine. But, having been doing Microsoft Windows updates for years, where often there is yet another update even though you’d just done one, I wanted to check again for a language update; the earbuds repeated the whole update process again, even though they’d already been updated. I had expected to be told no update was required. Again, no big deal. Since I’ve only had the 85t earbuds a few days, I cannot comment on durability or longevity. Bluetooth connection: With my Jabra 65t earbuds and version one Pixel XL, the Bluetooth connection was very frustrating. There were many dropouts. When I finally moved to an iPhone 11, the Bluetooth connection with the 65t earbuds worked very well. The 85t earbuds connection to my iPhone 11 is also rock solid. Due to the vented design, with the 85t earbuds, it’s very nice to be able to chew food and not feel strong pressure on your eardrums. In summary, I am very happy with my Jabra 85t earbuds purchase.

Great for music - excellent for calls. Ability to personalize is the icing on the cake.
I have a new favorite pair of earbuds. I'll walk through some detailed feedback below, but overall the 85t's sound great when I'm listening to music or watching movies and are outstanding on calls. The Cons: - I really like the ANC feature, I use it a lot when working (mostly from home now) and traveling. ANC on the 85t works as good or better than other earbuds I've tried, but the ANC isn't as strong as some of the high end over-ear headphones. I think by covering the whole ear (with headphones) you can block out more sound. But again, for in ear earbuds I haven't experienced better ANC. The 85t ANC is good enough for most environments, but I'll still use my ANC headphones at times like when I want to sleep on long flights. - It's not a major issue for me, but it would be nice to have the flexibility to use either the L or R bud individually. With the 85t its only possible to use the R bud individually. Again, this isn't a major issue for me for a couple of reasons: 1, I usually use my right ear when talking on the phone anyway, and 2. in the past I've wanted to use a single bud on phone calls because of the occlusion effect (hearing yourself) with other buds. But that hasn't been an issue for me with the 85t (see below in Pros). - I use my buds a lot for phone calls. In most environments they're outstanding, but in some noisier environments the 85t's do pick up some ambient noise and the person on the other end can hear it. For most calls (from home and other places) the call quality is great on both sides, but noisy locations can be a challenge. The Pros: - Call quality. As I mentioned above there are a few exceptions (really noisy environments) but I've been really impressed with the 85t. I hear the other person very clearly and I've received consistent feedback the same from their end. I really like the change they've made that makes calls sound much more natural - no more occlusion. I keep both buds in which lets me hear the other person in stereo making it easier for me to clearly hear them and my own voice sounds like I'm talking without anything in my ears. - Sound quality. My music sounds great. With the Jabra Sound+ app I'm able to adjust the EQ and get what seems to me to be the perfect balance of bass, mid and high range. With that optimized adjustment, it seems like I can also more clearly hear the dialogue when I'm watching movies - especially during flights. - Personalized sound. I took the hearing test during the set up process on the Jabra Sound+ app. I like that the 85t is smart enough to optimize the sound settings for my hearing profile. I also like the ability to personalize the controls. I played around with changing them. I'm not sure if my current button configuration is much different from the default, but the controls are now intuitive for me. - Size. I can't believe how small and light the 85t's are. They are very comfortable. I've used them for hours at a time and I forget I'm wearing them. - Hear through. I use the 85t to block out noise when I'm working or just want to relax. The hear through feature makes it easy, with the touch of a button, to become aware and clearly hear my environment; it could be my wife or kids wanting to talk to me or even the TV from across the room. Hear through almost seems to magnify the sound I want to hear while blocking out other noise. Not sure how it does that or if it's just me, but it seems like I can use the feature to zoom in and listen to a conversation. Overall, I really like these. I'm got a pair for my wife for Christmas. She's the exerciser of the family (not me) and she likes them too
